Gangplank's Return

So there's been a lot of discussion on how Gangplank will return. Some cite Tahm Kench and his tendency to take advantage of a person when they are at their lowest point. Others point to Spooky Gangplank. A possibility that I'd like to explore are the terrors from the Shadow Isles.

Over a few decades, Shadow Isles monsters such as Hecarim and Mordekaiser have been leading an invasion of Bilgewater. It may be possible that Mordekaiser resurrects Gangplank for his own purposes or Kalista finds him and promises him revenge or Thresh locks Gangplank's soul in his lantern and Lucian ends up freeing him inadvertently in another adventure.

While a cross-over Shadow Isles event sounds cool, I doubt it will run into the Harrowing. That would mean keeping him dead for 3 months.

He's likely tied to the Tam Kench or the next champion. Possibly this "savior" of Bligewater thats been hinted. Personally I think that this "Bearded Lady" or "Mother Serpent" is going to be involved somehow. Perhaps GP has her blessing.

I think his return have to do with the magic dagger item 3714 that T.F was hired to steal, it dropped off from his hands as he freed his partner Graves to the depths, which is likely where the remains of Gangplank Gangplank ended up, the dagger touches him....he gets revived.
