So many inconsistencies

Swapping from the old lore to the new one has created more plotholes and inconsistencies than it covered up.

Many champs still refer to "Summoner's". Summoner spells are still called that, Masteries and Rune Pages make no sense for their being there.

If you are going to make such a huge change to the Lore's most basic, most central aspect, at least put in the work beforehand to clear up these inconsistencies!

If you are working on it right now, then please give us an update or something, cuz this is getting confusing.

For those who do not know, I have been informed by numerous people and sources that Riot has trashed the original lore (The "league of legends" being an institute that moderates political conflict with matches between summoned representatives) for the more overarcing "Its all just a small representation of a larger story" shtick.

If for w/e reason this is not the case, and I have been misinformed, please, enlighten me.

The direction that Riot has taken is to completely split the game and the lore into two separate entities.

The Institute of War no longer exists, nor has ever existed. And there are huge gaps in the lore that has yet to be addressed as the narrative team searches for new ways to deliver us the player the story.

You have not been misinformed. From what I can tell what you know is the current situation. And from what they say they are working on it by releasing stuff like the Ekko comic. Although I personally would prefer word medium similar to the old Journal of Justice's, that isn't the direction they have been taking it.

Runes can still work if there were rune wars of old. Runes being a fraction of power of what they once were, but it is moot as the game-play is completely separated from the narrative of Runeterra.
