Let’s imagine Jax found the lost Darkin weapon, Laamp, and despite probably knowing the dangers, he has to pick it up and use it. How do you think Jax and the darkin weapon would get along, if at all?
Personally, I imagine the darkin weapon would be impressed as hell with Jax’s skill, and if Jax got tired of the Darkin spirit, he would just ring it out of the weapon like water from a wet washcloth.
What do you think would happen?

In the lore it says the wielder can overcome the power of the Darkin Spirit and use its power as his own, if someone can do it, that would be Jax for sure.

Picking up a Darkin weapon appears to be a battle of will, as demonstrated by Kai and Valmar. And there's the problem.
We know very little about Jax' mental state. He's been around since Icathia, but what has he been doing all the time? How much of the proud warrior is still in him? Is he just a broken shell of his former self, seeking a challenge to remind himself of the days that are long gone? Or is he training, preparing, for something big, like reclaiming Icathia? Or maybe he's just loafing around and tries to find some entertainment.
We just don't know.
If there is something that keeps him going, a reason why he has to live, I think he would be able to resist the Darkin corruption. If there isn't, it's probably still a struggle, but one that he is likely to lose.
Honestly? I think they would bro down together. Jax would have full controle over the weapon, but would allow its demonic presence to prevail too, since he doesnt have to fear getting overpowered. SO basically, he would have a very powerfull talking weapon.
Like: "Hey Bro, wanna punch some dudes?" "Hell Yeah, I love to punch some dudes!" "Then Lets punch some Dudes!"

He would make it feel bad by not calling it a real weapon and its sadness will overtake it and the darkin will become jax.

I have some theories. But they could just be silly. If he picked them up they would some how be lifted by pure strength and be held in his hand. Another theory of mine is that if he were to pick it up the weapon would defy gravity by being swung around, in his grip, of course.
But honestly, if we're being real, I think if he were to pick it up with all lore aside he would most definitely use it as a weapon. I know. Its crazy. Totally not something that wold normally happen.

You know..... We only ever see Jax's hands. Who's to say he's not possessed by a Darkin already? It would explain why we continued to use the lamp after his weapon rights were returned. ;p
