Why does Basilich look almost the same as the Inmortal Bastion?

They are both noxians cities now, but Basilich didn't belong to the empire until 22 years ago. Why did they copy the complicated design of Mordekaiser's fortress?

I too am confused by this.

Seeing as the Immortal Bastion is ancient (older than the Noxian empire) it's possible that younger cities were built in its image. Similar to how Nashramae has a Sun Disc in the image of the City of Shurima.

I thought also that maybe the picture we called the Immortal Bastion was actually Basilich all along, but the Piltover map shows a little of the Bastion, so that theory is out.

Given the art, it's possible the artist was given some reference material and confused Noxus' capital with the city of Basilich he was actually drawing.

Or that's common architecture in the region?

It could be that the artist confused the Immortal Bastion with the Noxtoraa.

Could be that the Immortal bastion is recognized as the strongest stronghold anywhere in that region. Given that it is also very old I would guess that many fortresses are built in its image.
