Petition to change Yuumi's title to "The Feline Familiar"

I can't be the only one who thinks that "The Magical Cat" is painfully mundane. Come on, Riot, surely the collective minds of all your employees can think of something better than the most basic description of what the champion is in the most basic language possible. What happened to stuff like "The Mouth of the Abyss", that one gives me an IMAGE. Modern Riot would've titled Kog'maw "The Void Spitter" or "The Hungry Voidling" or something equally banal.

EDIT: And, in fact, if anyone has any better ideas, please share them. Even my suggestion is pretty basic.

You are lucky. In German, her title is still "the magical cat" (Die magische Katze), this title is so absolutely painfully boring.... I wish they had picked something along OPs idea or "guardian of the book" for us, too.

Hey they changed Mordekaiser's title after his Juggernaut update - "Lord of Death" was too ... uh. Mordekaiser literally means Lord of Death.

tbf, Grimoire has different connotations than just "Book"; specifically, a book of spells and alchemy recipes. The Grimoire's Guardian would be a STELLAR title too. And added alliterative appeal! Asking if I m**ay **

But it IS basic, gives you the basic image of Yuumi and says that she's just your average Tom with magic powers and that's that. You can't give a basic champion a nom basic title. :/

That book might be something Ryze might want to pick up. True it might not hold any significant value. However if it does truly open portals to any part of Runeterra (not just Bandlecity), someone could easily use the book to get to where ever Ryze stashed the World Runes.

If you read Yuumi's bio and watch her trailers, you'll see that the book can take you anywhere it has a portal to, even showing the portals on its pages. Though, I think its specifically using portals that lead to/from Bandle City as its mode of transport, seeing as how its now former master was a Yordle. That being said, unless there's a portal in the vault Ryze hid the Runes in, I don't think it can take someone directly to there.

Still, its more dangerous than people realize. Though, given that it is sentient, I think someone who intends on using it for evil purposes might have trouble with it. Even then, though, what can Yuumi really do to stop someone from taking it? She's a magical cat that, as we know right now, can't really do anything dangerous to protect the book. All someone really has to do is kill or incapacitate her and they can just take it.

But she's not a familiar. She's a pet. She's magical but still it's not the same.

That familiar thing looks good for a future star guardian skin for yuumi, though. They could make her a familiar whose star guardian got lost so she fights with the other star guardians and they could give her voice lines for the other star guardians and also for their familiars.

I wouldn't mind a change in her title as long as she's not called familiar

To me, familiar and pet are kind of the same thing? When I think of a familiar, I think of animals like cats, toads, or mice that accompany witches. That's basically what Yuumi is, right?

Familiars are often spirits or spirit related animals that give them their powers/enhance them/connect their partners to the spirit realm, and are iften inherited by family, they are partners, not pets (pets are lower in hierarchy than pets) if anything the book seems more like a familiar than yuumi herself.

Yuumi does have magical powers she used to protect her master. And I'm not sure if before Nora's disappearance, the book was able to talk to Nora. So the book might have just been a book rather than a familiar. Plus, as a Yordle, Nora is already connected or close to the spirit realm? Yuumi could easily have been like Nora's partner. So I still think Yuumi could be considered a familiar.

EDIT: You also mentioned that the animals that accompany Star Guardians can be considered familiars. In this case, Pix is Lulu's familiar. Since Yuumi is in the same position as Pix, it can easily be seen that she can be a familiar as well.
