League of Legends has been around for almost a decade now. How long has it been in Runeterra though? Have the champions aged 10 years, or has time passed differently in Runeterra? Also, just curious, how old is Olaf and Sejuani (I'd like to know cuz i main both of them). Thank You!!!
The game lore was not the same in 2009, back then Time in Runeterra passed at the same time of Earth... But the Retcon changed everything and the lore can tell things that happened 1000 years ago or in the "present"... Present that has no conection with our present.
Time passes differently in Runeterra, one of the most influential recent events was the Ionian Invasion with the Battle of the Placidium, where Irelia severed Swains arm. That was 10 years ago, the war ended 3 years after that.
If you want to put it this way, time only progresses in the Lore if the writers want to, and release a story that is set in the "future" (but it then becomes the present).
For Olaf and Sejuani, we can only estimate their ages. Sejuani should be around 24, Olaf 40+. However there is not much information about Olaf specifically, he should get a lore update in the future.
If you want to read more about them, start with Warmother which is about Ashe, but also has Sejuani in it, and Shadow and Fortune which has one of the few appearances of Olaf.
