Vastayans? Animal people?
This new race of Ionians sounds awesome. Also would Ahri be considered the first Vastayan in this case? or am i just forgetting her lore?

Ahri does seem to be a Vastayan,though that is a retcon of her old lore.
Rengar is also confirmed to be a Vastaya and there is speculation that Wukong is one as well(And Nida might be a half-vastaya as those are implied to be shapeshifters)
I wouldn't say first case, but she is considered one.
Its about as vast a term as you can get honestly. As long as it has fluffy ears or looks like an animal then it's pretty much guaranteed to be a Vastayan. Even then it's very specifically stated that Vastayans live across Runeterra and do not exist exclusively in Ionia. It's honestly not that helpful when it comes to describing something other than that they have fluffy ears and are magically apt.
