Why is xin xao getting another skin before yorick? zyras been out for less then half as long as yorick has and she now has more skins then he does.
I feel like riot thinks the vgu means they can just leave yorick on the backburner again which is kind of a giant middle finger to night shovelers everywhere

You can make any theme work with any champion (PROJECT, Warring Kingdoms. Arcade). Some may be a stretch, but a Samba-dancing Festival Yorick might have been interesting.
Thank heavens the team was smart enough to not make a Blood Moon Yorick skin. I'd have to demand a full refund at that announcement.
However that doesn't mean that Yorick has no skins in the works.
Doesn't mean that there are, either.
Frankly, if Riot released a skin before June 22, 2017 (Yorick's sixth anniversary), it would be nothing more than cynical attempt to stop any Reddit threads reminding them of their failures to Yorick's fan base.

But not everyone works as good with every theme as others. In Yoricks case,the skin team is likely looking at how they can implement his mistwalkers,the maiden,his ghost-cape,his hunched over position or his shovel into a skin. And none of this works very well with a dragon skin.

Well looking back at past VGUs,the champs usually had to wait quite a while until they got their next skin(Sion had to wait over a year).So it is likely that they have a skin for him in the works(also keep in mind that Yorick comes with several additional models,so skins for him will always take a bit longer than usual)

Supposedly, Riot hires extremely creative people with plenty of ideas in their artistic departments. If the Skins team wanted a Yorick skin with a dragon theme, they should be able to make it work.

If you believe the Skins team's representatives, they spent a full year on Mecha Zero Sion. I happen to think they were told by other departments at Riot to make skins for more popular champs and got back to Sion when they could.
I see the same thing happening to Yorick, since the company has no love for a champ that is off-meta and remains unpopular after his rework. (There's just not enough support for Yorick from the playerbase or the company).
And there are examples where Riot made the extra effort to get a skin done to fit an upcoming theme (Project Fiora, Blood Moon Talon and Pool Party Taric). Clearly, Riot didn't think Yorick was worthy of that effort.
So it is likely that they have a skin for him in the works(also keep in mind that Yorick comes with several additional models,so skins for him will always take a bit longer than usual)
There's no evidence of a Yorick skin in the works/pipeline, whatsoever. No one has provided any, especially from Riot.
Maybe there is a skin in the works, and I hope there is one that would be worth the 6 year wait. But I have zero confidence in that fantasy.
Again, if a cheap-looking 750 RP skin comes out before June 22, 2017, Riot cynically made and released it to avoid the embarrassing Reddit threads.
