What is the Connection between Ashe and Frejlord Ashe?

This question comes from someone who doesn't know much about lore (me). I just thought about this for a long long time now about why Freljord Ashe is there. Believe me, I know it's an old old skin (Ashe's first skin, perhaps) and I've been playing since season 1, but still I don't get the point of it. We have Veigar and White Veigar, but why Ashe and Freljord Ashe? If Ashe already comes from Freljord, why having a redundant skin that's primarily changing her color to white?

Hypothetically, if Riot would ever replace Freljord Ashe with another skin, would Freljord Ashe owners be mad or would they not mind getting another skin in place of that?

Iirc, it was ashe before she got stuck in the blizzard that turned her hair white.

Alternate costumes are cool too. Most skins are like that (in games, generally).

I heard once from a friend that Feljord Ashe is a younger version of Ashe, I have no clue if this is actually the case. It might just be Ashe in a white outfit for no reason.

I've always wondered how "Freljord Ashe" came to be. I don't know, maybe the skin represented something meaningful in the old lore. The only thing I'm 100% sure about is that they chose to give her the worst name possible.

It represented Ashe before her hair turned white in a blizzard and she found her frost bow. She lost some friends in said storm, which is why she switched to black clothes afterwards.
