Gravelord Azir referencing Gravelord Nito from Dark Souls?

There's really no similarity other than the name. Gravelord Azir doesn't resemble Nito in the slightest.

I think that Gravelord Azir simply references necromancers in generals.

Gravelord is not that uncommon as title, even thought it is very probably that the designers had Nito in mind.

But beyond that? Pretty much nothing else.

It's possible that there are multiple influences, but to me he looks a lot like armored Sauron from the first Lord of the Rings movie.
