Okay really, what's the deal with Aatrox's size?

So a few days ago I made a post about Aatrox's size, and this seemed to confuse a lot of people into thinking I was referring to his physical body when I actually was referring to his sword-vessel (which technically IS Aatrox).

So, to reiterate, why is the sword that Aatrox is trapped in so huge?

Like, 15ft tall huge.

No mortal race on Runeterra (that I know of) can even wield the sword of that size, so I find it extremely hard to believe he even found a host in the first place, lest it was some sort of giant/troll race. But the accepted opinion is that Aatrox's first hosts were humans, so how does that make sense when his sword is 15ft tall?

From my previous post, many commented that Aatrox can change his size by using the flesh and blood of his victims, but I don't think that applies when it comes to the sword. His sword is what is trapping him in the first place, and neither does it seem like flesh and blood (if it was, then it would look much more gnarly), so is he be able to change that artifact to such an extent?

Thoughts?

You just hav to make contact with the weapon to be posessed by the Darkin. If anyone so much as touches the blade Aatrox can dominate their mind. Similar to how Rhaast is massive in size but Kayn is seen carrying it in his Darkin hand because Rhaast reshaped it

I actually made a post about how terribly designed Aatrox blade is as a weapon a few days back. The size issue came up and I more or less just wrote that off as “Meh, bullshit magic shenanigans.”

And I’m positive that’s just the answer. Hell in the short story Aatrox’s body had just died and he was picked up by a random soldier. So the magic shrinking had to happen almost instantly.

It’s not like Runeterra seems to have a particularly hard magic system a la Sanderson’s laws. So really worrying about the size of the blade seems a rather trivial point to get hung up on. Like people complaining about the physics of Superman. It has never tried to be internally consistent. So why expect it now?

Aatrox's sword literally has a beating heart on it, I'd say it's pretty organic and he could alter its shape.

Although Targon trapped The Darkin into their cutlery they had to trick them first meaning they probably weren't strong enough to do it with brute force which also means Aatrox could probably alter the shape of his prison.
