The new Mundo lore is not what I expected at all. I love it.

Oh my god I love this new lore. I mean seriously,Mundo was one of these champs where I feared that Riot might make him either too goofy or too serious(not even necessarily by accident, the 2 can be hard to balance),but I feel like they managed to make him perfect. He is a rather scary threat to the people, but he is so damm hilarious while trying to "cure" his patients xD

And on top of that,it even explains why Mundo does what he does, besides just "well he is evil, thats why"

Life is affliction, Mundo cure your disease.

As a huge Mundo fan I miss his old lore. The fact that he used to be a super intelligent doctor that kept mutating himself until he turned into a giant silly purple was a good origin and way to keep Mundo interesting. He could have had really good interactions with other smart characters like Heimerdinger or Viktor. "Mundo" they might think. I was also hoping for Mundo and ZAC to have some sort of connection, like maybe Mundo had helped work on ZAC before he totally lost his mind and became a businessman.

But hey I'm just fanconing out right now.

I'm actually sort of impressed what they did. I always felt there was this disassociation with Mundo: His lore presents him as this sadistic mad scientist who developed his own chemicals that sparked his transformation, while players just saw him as the goofy hulk-expy who goes where he pleases.

Turns out all they needed to do to rectify this was just simply making him a 'Doctor' in name only. One who's convinced the best way to cure his 'patients' is to cleave their head open so all the bad icky sick stuff comes out (Or just to cause them pain, because that's what the doctors did to him, and he loved every minute of it).

EDIT: I do have a question though, if a rioter would be willing to answer. It seems like Mundo was completely aware of Ekko's time-shenanigans: I was under the impression that, to the outside observer, Ekko just seemed to do things perfectly the first time. Is this just something specific to Mundo, or do I just have the wrong idea about Ekko's Z-Drive?

Right? It's, like, the best one they've ever written.

I thought they fired their lore team a really long time ago to focus on e-Sports? They used to do this journal thing for a "peek behind the scenes" at the heroes every day lives years ago and so forth but then it seemed it all got canned and they just began cranking up the competitive side without any story development at all.

TAKE TWO AND CALL MUNDO IN THE MORNING! "Throws huge cleaver at the guy's back"

That one got me too.

If i ain't wrong, the guy who wrote mundo's lore is anthony burch.... i hope he doesn't write stories about a single-wheeled robot that can't use stairs anymore.......

His color text made me laugh so hard. I've never really cared much for Dr. Mundo, but with this lore update, I might have to start playing him.
