The new "Goth" Annie skin could as well be renamed to HotTopic Annie, she lost all of her charm and gothic aspects with the new splash art. I know it's too late to complain and even if, I can't do anything about it anymore anyways, so I just save the old splash on my computer to remind me how Goth Annie was once a thing, before she turned into a girl-that-likes-black-clothes character..

GOTH:

a style of rock music derived from punk, typically with apocalyptic or mystical lyrics. a member of a subculture favoring black clothing, white and black makeup, and goth music.

no where in that does it require them to be gloomy and sad.

I am glad they changed annie from the ignorant stereotype of what goth means.

she is still very much goth. just because her mystical manipulation of tibbers gives her glee instead of sorrow, doesn't change that fact.

in fact, i feel it matchers her in-game character from her quotes much better.

Riot makes the game more appealing to kids, the same they'll do with vlad's abilities (most likely) making them look just like some red coloured magic instead of blood magic.

I'm also rather dissapointed. That splash used to be one of my favourites, and it resembled her in-game model more in the older one as well.

Honestly, the change makes me more inclined to buy the skin. I was annoyed when they got rid of Frostfire Annie's smirk in favor of a more generic grumpy face, because she always struck me as a champion who had FUN massacring her enemies with fire and doom. If anything, I think the change here makes her look more like Wednesday Addams and less like Marylin Manson - that might be a problem to some people out there, but to me, it just fits her a lot better.

Same with Vindicator Vayne (who did those glasses, Tencent!?) - orginal Vayne splash too for that matter - Graves (to the one with the cigar), my precious PAX Sivir, Artic Warfare Caitlyn (she's British, not a slut, you muppets! Homage to Michael "Psycho" Sykes), first release of the King of Clubs Mordekaiser (to the one with the "offensive" cross on the chair), Fiora's and Ahri's original splash. And many more.

This, Cottontail Teemo, that fucking godawful Talon splash change... there's so many that we can't even band together and contest them like we could with the Fiora one. I just wish SOMEBODY from Riot would even acknowledge how many people are just straight up unhappy about these changes.
