Remember that someone predicted Battlecast would win despite Adventurer and Deep Space should be where the major contest is, as they claim that the community is full of edgelords who like the most unoriginal ideas and believe them to be the pinnacle of creativity instead.
The funny thing is, they were right.

Tbh I am disappointed in the community for voting that one. There are already so many mechanic skins in the game. Adventurer would have been something new and even the space theme only has 2 members. Any of the other 2 choices would have been better (imo of course) really disappointed.
Kinda proves how the boards and reddit is a tiny, tiny fraction of the playerbase and doesn't represent it as a whole. I saw threads upon threads of people begging for Adventurer votes on both platforms and they were all highly upvoted, yet it was the least popular pick on the actual vote by far. But is that gonna stop people from making "everyone agrees bla bla bla" threads? Nope, people still think they represent the majority. Either way, shame that Adventurer didn't win. It was my favourite, even if I don't play her.
Good skin wins at the end of the day. Adventurer is unoriginal. Deep Space is ugly.
This is probably how the Ao Shin fans felt when the champ was eventually canceled and changed to something very different.
We see these previews for something we really want, and most of us end up disappointed in the end.
O COME ON NEVER IN THE LIFE SOMETHING I PICKED WON LITERALLY. THIS skin was the least favorite of mine, in fact it looks ugly to me like i would rather play the base one --.-- and obvy this one wins. the adventurer one looked so cool with the vine tentacles and she looked cool especially her relic and even the deep space one looked ok BUT NOT BATTLECAST
Was honestly hoping for deep space, a dark horror skinline that isn't generic void or tied to the harrowing. feelsbadman
With this skin being a thing, I'm calling bull whenever someone says a champ doesn't fit a skins theme. I won't speak for the looks of the skin (though I REALLY hope the hand on the tentacle goes away before release, it looks kind of silly and its not really needed when it can just be a normal tentacle like her base, but mechanical ), but Illoai sure as hell doesn't fit the theme. This is proof that a any champ can fit any theme so long as Riot takes the time to make them fit.
Like I like Mecha, Sci-fi skins as much as the next guy but even I'm tired of all these skins. I want original and different. Not the same old, same old.
