The idea of Illaoi being a resistance member against Creator Viktor makes a lot of sense(in the regular lore she fights undead who try to turn others into undeads as well,here she fights against lifeless machines trying to turn others inot machines too) and tbh,her using the head of a robot as a weapon is quite original.

We have like 3 or 4 mech skin lines on more or less the same thing just slightly different settings, each with like 7-8 skins. I don't think we have to get more of it.
When there is this Battlecast skin, another completely new skin line of Adventurer, and a barely developed skin series of Astronaut/space to choose from, why did the community have to go for the most saturated skin genre?
Also, that description there is in its essence, almost the epitome of unoriginality. Because it has been tried a billion times since both before and after popular hits like The Terminator in the fucking 80s or other similar movies. It's also not what we call original to have a skin's story that follows exactly like the original lore of the champ; I mean a reference is okay and cool, but outright the same story, original, how?
When the only thing original about a skin idea is their weapon, which isn't even kickstarted by the skin itself but rather it has been there since the Classic skin/design, I wouldn't call that original as a whole. And it isn't, it looks like a skin idea that only exists on the table because a random algorithm that matches random champs with random skin-line wants it there.
You like it? Okay. But I do not buy the claim that it's original at all.

And you generalize every sci-fi skin as a mech skin,which is really not the case here. Illaoi has what seems to be robotic legs and arms(and even that may be armor),she isn't a complete robot. battlecast is a futuristic resistance fighter in a world dominated by machines.
Admittedly,Project/Program have a similar backstory to them,but their style is a completely different one.

The main reason I said that is because all I see about the battlecast is "TITTIES", not saying there isn't a "tiddy window" in the other skin. I guess the titties in battlecast where better therefore securing the votes of the majority.
And OH GOD I KNOW, it's like everyone is a Transformer fan like FUCK. I've always hated Transformers, thought it was the dumbest shit and here I am playing league and seeing knock-off versions of the same shit.

exactly i hate that adventurer didnt win. i think one side of the community will always dominate and that will be dark edgelordy side and i can say it without any doubt. it was obvious light was gonna loose upon riven yasuo event and i was ok since it wasnt that major but this is just so annoying like riot can you balance the scales a bit it is fantasy game TO

Therefore Battlecast was the natural choice for me. And Illaoi being a rebell against Viktor's glorious evolution was a more interesting story hook for me than simply making her Indiana Jones.

I'd rather Riot changes their mind and release the most voted and second most voted skin between the 3 proposed ideas. Seriously, putting Battlecast on there is pretty much loading the dice, given that they know exactly what their community is like by now. And it's annoying, because due to them we have so many mecha skins when so many ideas have gone underdeveloped or simply not used at all.
Like, how the hell in League, a fantasy game, we barely have adventurous fantasy skins, if at all, and stuck with like 50 mecha "oh he's fighting the machines inside and outside" skin again and again and again? How come there are so little space skins? Come on, take a break from mechs, not that hard.

Adventurer would have been something new and even the space theme only has 2 members. Any of the other 2 choices would have been better (imo of course) really disappointed.

So if Riot wants these "one off" skins to sell better, they need to make them in large enough groups for friends to group and all have one.

I don't like the feathers of Cosmic Dusk Xayah, or the way clunkier gauntlets of Neon Strike Vi, so i don't buy em. i WILL buy project vi, because it's a skin for a champion i like, with a motif i like. When the next Illaoi skin rolls around (Riot's finally giving them all some love) you can see if you want that one.
