Riot should make a physical lore book

I just think it would be awesome to have an actual book filled with all the lore, maps, character information, designs, etc. like Hyrule Historia for LoZ. I hope it's something Riot thinks about making in the future.

At this point it feels like it'd be more of a pamphlet.

we need a map first ~

Riot will keep doing stuff like retcon the lore, or randomly kill champions just to promote sales for a new one, so no, I don't think there's even the slightest chance they will try to organize the lore at all, much less take it to print where they can't retcon anything anymore.

No because Riot's Lore is trash and they haven't cared about it since the JoJ was discontinued.

People have been asking for this for years

stupid idea and this woud not even work at the moment because riot decided last year to change the lore and killd the summoner.

Now the link between champions/ fractions/ spells/ lore in the game are gone we dont even know the purpose why we are now fighting in the battlefields at the moment

While it is a cool idea, they once stated that they want to make lore accessible for everyone equally and that means that such a book would essentially not bring anything new to the lore. Though it could still serve as a neat collection for lore and artworks.

It'd probably end up the length of a pamphlet with all of these 2 sentence lores going around

Only if they install a killswitch which causes it to burst into flames whenever they decide to completely redo all of the lore

kaltenashes1/8/2016, 5:01:22 PM1 votes

they could, but they have been changing the lore a lot to fit in recent champs and make ground for others new champs

The TwistedFate statue costs 250$, and it's not even that great compared to the industry's standards.

A physical book of the quality you're asking, and rightfully deserve as a customer, would be rather expensive if we take the RiotGames Merch store into account. And judging by the quality of Riot's art direction, we're looking at nothing less than top-notch production.

One could safely assume it would easily cost up to 100$ including shipping expences. I mean, even a simple poster is 15$. If I'm comfortable enough monetarily, I'd rather use that money on skins to be frank.

It would be so bad tbh..

Then they release a new champion...

first of they should make a proper lore...ever since the retcon it´s still mostly void with some little stories here and there.

That would be cool, I'm kind of hoping for an animated series personally.

It'd be obsolete within a week after they decide Alistar is some Zaunite mutation/science experiment.

You'd think that sounds stupid and outlandish, but would we really be surprised at this point?

MavenSong1/8/2016, 5:03:12 AM1 votes

Itd be something id love buy but problem is the lore keeps changing (mostely the retcon). Still a cool idea tho.

I think first that all of the champions need to have their lores updated in regards to the retcon of the Institute of War, and once we have that done, we can finally begin to have things like lore books, and possibly more stories like the Burning Tides and Shadow and Fortune stories, which I enjoyed immensely.
