League of Legends as a VR Game

The Google Doodle's already been taken off of Google's homepage, but I was thinking about how VR is the next big thing in the gaming industry and I was thinking, how cool would it be to be able to walk down Summoner's Rift, see how large Baron Nashor is and get thrown 30 feet into the air by him? Or to slay Kog'Maw, only to have to run away from his headless body? Or to hear Warwick howl and not be able to see him pop out of the dark jungle and gank you until he's 10 feet away? Totally fun right?

While the act of playing League as a VR game is something that'd be far off into the future, I think placing people on Summoner's Rift wouldn't be. I mean, all the 3D models are there.

If you could play League as a VR game, would you do it? Which champion would you play and who would you love to go against in battle?

A geek can dream.

Playing LoL First Person is a terrible idea and if you keep the isometric view the whole appeal of VR is wasted.

Isometric third - person MOBA in VR?

Sadly, wouldn't happen.

A first person MOBA may one day be a thing.

But it won’t be LoL, or at least not this version of LoL. There are a lot of moves that work with a wider field of view and create abrupt motion that would be hell in a VR set.

VR spectating would be nice though, as <that other game> has.

VR games have the smallest lifetime and the biggest amount of health issues that cause to players, they might improve in the future but they aren't the next ''big thing'', just a new addition to gaming
