About Aatrox (as war god) @lore team

With the new lore piece on Darkins (that journal suggests that Darkin are in fact living weapons) I feel like there is different side to Aatrox and now this awesome way to look at Aatrox is kinda dying.

First of all, let me say that I was big fan to theory that "Darkin" was another name for "demon that embodiments sin". I still think the idea that Tahm Kench is embodiment of Greed+Gluttony is really cool. Tahm Kench is my favourite champ cause of this. I really find the idea to have some "embodiment of sin" champions is very cool. They are become myths, legends that you trully want to keep your eyes on. The sins have a lot of influence on our culture and culture of any world so sin champions becomes really deep. Also i think that Eve will be embodiment of lust. And that really gives me hope about her rework.

Please do not take away from Aatrox his trait that he is embodiment of War. If Darkins truly are living weapons let Atrox be at least partners with that weapon (or even using that blade against that blade's will). Aatrox must be embodiment of war. This trait is very fund to his character and he must not be under Living Blade's will. Pantheon (who is also embodiment of war. Kinda) does not feel like that demon that sin-demon should be. He is aspect, nothing more. Compairing Aatrox and Pantheon due to they are both the embodiments of war is like compairing Tahm Kench to really greed dude. One is the true embodiment of greed. He IS the GREED.

The way that helps me to "understand" Aatrox's character is the way of religion. I always believed that Tahm Kench is kinda religious figure in Runterra. Or at least he is central figure of some cults. Just imagine: you are broke and suddenly appear some frog-like figure and gives you wealth, money and etc. We (players) knows that this comes with a price, but what price you'll pay for this no one could tell you. Cause guys who seen the full "payment" are all dead. So why don't you praise the catfish-like guy who gave you everything you know own. In cinematic Tahm never said anything about NDA-status of that deal with Gambler. So I always imagined there are at least cults which praise Tahm. And this is the way we could look into Aatrox character. He is demon, that is not the embodiment of noble war, he is embodiment of blood lust. He is embodiment of massacre on a battlefield. He is that guy that appears when you're outnumbered and make sure that you not only win, but anyone that you've captured will be dead. There are no honor on the battlefield with Aatrox. Only death. So, the mystic entity appears everytime some big battle is about to happen or happening and helps one side to win. They definetly would praise him, they would pray to him to appear in middle of battle and charge them into this battle they have to have. They would built temples for him and in his name. So i think Aatrox is kinda religious figure. Someone you could pray to/

And that's where I'll tell you that crucial phrase to Aatrox character. This phrase really helps me to think about Aatrox: "When sons go to war mothers pray to Kindred, fathers pray to Aatrox" That phrase that I've come up with I think really kin to Aatrox character. Mothers pray to Kindred that their sons would escape death or at least would have a calm death. Not being shred to pieces in combat but accept their death peacefully. Fathers on the other hand pray to Aatrox that their sons would win the upcoming battles no matter what cost is (even if the cost is humanity and honor).

I feel like many Runterra's people percieve Aatrox like moraly grey area - he is helping us, but old myths say that it will end kinda badly. And we (players) know that it WILL end kinda badly. And the same you could say about Tahm.

I think that idea, that character is really important to league and creates really cool character. Really cool character as champion and also as just this entity that must exist in world of Runterra So @loreteam when you will look at Aatrox (there may be his VGU in near future or just lore update). Please do not see him as mindless holder of living weapon. Percieve him as a demon. Demon of this f**ked up thing such as human cruelty during war-times, human lack of honor during battles. He is a demon of Massacres and how history (of our world and world of Runterra - due to number of wars on Runterra) shows us very effective demon

P.s. This is my first post on League's forums and eng is not my native language so please sorry me. Thank you for reading and i'll hope you'll agree with me (upvote will help ;) )

I don't think of Aatrox as the "Embodiment of War". War is Aatrox's canvas, and he creates stunning massacres with it. If anything, he would be the demonic embodiment of Wrath. Think about it. Aatrox inspires people to do things they normally wouldn't do, and once they do, they lose their minds, huanted by the horrors they committed. It fits much better with what he does.

Aatrox is, and has been, to me at least, the blade itself. His title is "Aatrox, The Darkin Blade". I'd like to see some lore about how the blade selects hosts, if it does, why it does. If it can create bodies to wield it, stuff like that. But, I feel the identity, as a living weapon, is pretty unique to League, and one that i'd like to see added onto.
