Dark Star Thresh/Varus - Void skins?

I'm still kind've curious if they classify as void skins. They appear to be the opposites (and enemies) of Celestials. And thresh mentions a 'hunger' in his recall, and has a constant theme of consumption. I feel like Dark Star Thresh could be a higher version of a voidborn. But then again, it could just be a celestial themed skin with more dark motives.
