Karma Skins

With the new Karma splash arts being released in the coming weeks, I think it best to now hold these new splashes to their in-game models, and see what may be improved upon for their in-game counterparts. Now, I do not expect changes like these to be made immediately, because we know Riot has a schedule going, but I do encourage that this be taken with much weight.

Lets start off with Sakura Karma:

Now, by comparing the in-game model to the new splash, it is completely obvious there are some major differences. Concerning the dress, the Sakura print is obviously off. Instead of actual Sakura trees, we have little blossom flowers. While the effort is appreciated, I believe it would draw much more attention to Sakura Karma if the print were to be more in tune with the updated splash. A major fault I see with this skin is that Karma's dress sticks to her actual body. With the technology Riot has now, I think it best if they were to go back, and modify this to where her dress, which in reality since it is a kimono is very light and weightless, flows behind her or just give it more volume and body to it. One recommendation I have for Karma's physical appearance, would be to make her face seem slimmer. With these new splash we see more detail to Karma's face, and the in-game models don't reflect that now. I would also recommend perhaps making her waist just a tad bit slimmer. To where it is recognizable, but not drastic.

And Traditional Karma:

Now, to start off, I believe that the modeling and the overall look is fine. What I will be going over is just a few small details that I think, in my opinion, should be addressed. Looking at the 'white' area of Karma's dress, I think there needs to be a tad recoloring there. It looks more cream than white which kind of throws off the feel of the look. For the overall skin itself, I think there needs to be a small-scale touch up. With the textures we see today, it looks definitely out of date. And we also have the same issue that Sakura Karma has with the dress, it sticks to her actual body which I find quite unrealistic. And once again, perhaps make Karma's face look slimmer to match her appearance from the splash arts.

Lastly, Sun Goddess Karma:

I think we can all recognize what needs to be done here. I believe the model to be fine, just a medium-scale touch up to details and texture would really just do it for her. Once again, make her face slimmer. Etc.

Hopefully these changes come to life at some point soon in the future! Thank you for reading. <3

The art was done by an outsourced team then finished by 3 of Riots actual Art team, there are A LOT of differences between the model and the splash arts that they just can't be assed to changed at this point,There is something wrong with every Karma skin.

Traditional-The fan designs aren't even close to what in game has

Warden-Shown using blue spell effects when they are default green in game

Order of the Lotus Karma-Shoulder Armor is on the wrong side

Sakura-Hair sticks are going inside her mantle of decorum instead of on the front and 4 hair sticks at the top of her hair style and the one in the back with cloth are just straight up not there.

Winter Wonder-No tattoos in game and purple skin on her hands that don't even attempt to look like gloves not to mention she doesn't have gloves in the splash art among other designs that are missing

Sun Goddess- Shiny metallic arm bracers instead of leather like and thigh tattoos not seen in model.

It's pretty common that a lot of splash arts and in-game models are inconsistent with each other. A good chuck of splash arts are in reverse, which makes some champs holding their weapons on the wrong hands or pieces of their clothing/armor are on the wrong side.

I wouldn't hold my breathe for Riot to update some of Karma's in-game model to match her updated splash arts. It would be divine if they could update Sakura Karma's dress to be the same as her new splash art. Right now, her in-game dress design and colors is so dull and amateur looking by comparison.

Also it would be nice from riot to add the golden particle effects to Sun Goddess Karma just like the rope in the splash art. That would make it feel complete.
