Did Renekton participete in the rune wars?

First of all, i'd like to say that I love the new lores ;)

However one thing bugs me: in Skarner's lore the rune wars happenned centuries ago, but in Talyiah's The bird and the branch, shurima was reborn not long ago, so could Renekton really have participated in the rune wars?

Well Runewars Renekton is maybe made if he had participated in one off the runewars,

Skarner's lore gives little indication as to the timeframe of the Rune Wars, but it's entirely possible that Shurima was embroiled in at least one.

Could be Renekton prior to Shurima's Fall, or (more likely)
The skin isn't canon and is just a cool skin idea
