So, Kog'Maw got a new splash on the PBE, AND IT IS AMAZING!!! Just look at it:

I just love the details on this splash. If you notice on the left, not only is Helmet Bro's... well... helmet there, but there's also a Razorbeak, some Antlermice and a Lizard, all critters from Summoner's Rift VU!! I LOVE IT!!!!
I'm not a fan of this at all. The art is nice, but they've completely changed Kog'Maw's texture. He looks... leathery. Isn't he supposed to be an armor-plated insect-esque creature? Now he looks like a sea turtle with an extra set of eyes.
This is so rad. Kog looks a lot scarier in this splash. You know, I wonder if Helmet Bro was part of a legion of helmet bros, because Kog looks like he just digested whoever that helmet belonged to. o_O The helmet bros do not seem to like The Void.
I mean, It looks great but... It doesn't match the art style of ANY other Void champion. Like, even a little bit. The dark gritty new Sion splash works because hes actually a zombie made purely for war. But kog? I suppose its implied that hes an all consuming beast, but hes essentially Malzahar's pet dog. This is a creature that comes from the same place as Cho'Gath and Vel'koz, but instead looks like its from a different game entirely. At least Kha's difference in appearance from other void champions can be explained with his whole "evolve and adapt" thing. But Kog just eats everything, hes like a toddler with acidic saliva. It also doesn't match Kogs voice imo.
Dont get me wrong, this is fantastically drawn and I love all the details, but to me it doesnt feel like Kog'Maw
Y'now, for a ungodly horror of gluttony that came from the space between spaces which is so horrific that the mere sight of it will drive all but the wisest and most composed of men irreparably insane... he's pretty damn adorable.
I like this splash a lot, love the lighting, glow and gorgeous shadows also all the little details, however there is one issue that catches my eye. Kog is very grey and a lot of his skin and form details are smoothed over. Unless he has a visual rework coming soon there is a disconnect from this splash and his in game model.
Helmet bro can't catch a break; Sion isn't even out yet :P
So uh Rito, I know his splash art isn't 
bad, but can GP get a new one once his rework goes live? As for Koggle's new splash, keep up the good work Art Team.
I love how he manages to look both adorable and sinister at the same time. The lighting is great as well.

Koggles gave me my first pentakill, so upon seeing this splash I am suddenly reminded I haven't given him any love recently.
New Kog'Maw looks pretty sick.
When I first looked at this, I thought it was Malphite ._.
Then my brain wrapped itself around the scale. Koggles should probably look smaller and more adorable. Perhaps some more visual indicators for the vartical axis?
I must be the only one who doesn't like this "Helmet Bro".
