Kindred Should Have Regional Runeterran Skins

In a lot of real life cultures, mythology, creation stories, or "embodiments" of death and the afterlife are similar but different regions have different ideas of what they look like.

So i think kindred should have skins based on what runeterrans think she looks like according to their homelands.

We pitched this back during Kindred's development. I still love the idea and wish we could do this, and I still hold a candle of hope that one day Kindred'll be so in the meta that we'd make a series: gazelle/gator, dolphin/kraken, sparrow/boa.

What combos do you folks think would work for which regions?

"Kindred should have skins"

Fixed the title for you.

That would be really nice, but I'm not sure if that's possible from a gameplay perspective. Kindred's "normal" look is from southern Freljord, where lambs and wolves are commonplace. But other regions would most likely associate other animals with death, or perhaps no animals at all. In the game however, Kindred's skins need to clearly be readable as them. You most likely can't use animals with different physiques or different movement patterns.

An idea for a ultimate skin perhaps?

I honestly think that in order for Kindred to become meta-and honestly more importantly, more popular- their kit needs to be made a bit more interesting,

I'm was a kindred main and have about 200thousand + ish points on kindred, and I absolutely love their stoic and intense, beautiful theme. I don't know if animals are necessarily the best way to reimagine their theme, as that's sort of separate from what their identity is, i.e. 'they're not a mainly hunter and prey, this is just used to symbolize two sides of death".

Anyways, regardless of the skins that are released- which I'm honestly desperate for as they haven't had skin in over 2 years and their existing skins are not improvements on their base- I think the interaction between kindreds' w and q needs to be made more complex, interactive, and able to express higher skill ceiling. The most skill expression on kindred possible right now, beyond efficient clearing and counter jungle-ing ( which are also skills on basically every other JG champ, :3), is really just ult timing and knowing how to outplay people (rarely) by jumping over small walls during fights. That does not feel very satisfying for the players like me who would play the champion a lot and want to be rewarded with consistently better and more finessed use of their abilities.

Just to reiterate, I would love to see a kindred skin desperately, but I think their kit needs to be improved, complexified, and honestly modernized to be in line with the standard and complexity of riots recent releases.

Best wishes, and prayers for a skin lol, Kindred

As a Kindred main, I support any and all things associated with buffs and skins for this long-forgotten champion.

I support Kindred getting a skin, if it happens but highly unlikely mostly popular champions getting skins. but can't complain I guess cause I stopped caring about champions like Xerath or Taliyah that been without a skin for while ( As I do not count Taliyahs SSG Skin as its only available during MSI or Worlds)
