Hello! I just wanted to create a board for people to express their opinions on the Victorious Aatrox skin. I want this to be more about the skin itself and not the fact that Aatrox was picked over another champion.

I’ve attached a poll to make it easier for any Player or Riot Employee to see what the community’s opinion is on the skin!

Please feel free to discuss below! Be respectful and please voice your opinion on the matter. Change can’t happen if we don’t voice our concerns.

Edit 2: After getting some comments it has been brought to my attention that this feedback isn’t as constructive as it could be! In the comments, please add what you feel specifically could be improved, and also what you do like about the skin in its current state.

How can it be improved? What is lacking? What don’t you like about the current iteration? Etc. This information will give Riot Employees more of an indication about what specifically isn’t landing with fans.

For example, I really love the wings on the skin but am not a fan of the outfit or his headgear.

It looks too much like Justicar for sure, and that's my main problem with it. None of the other Victorious champions have a skin in the Arclight universe so they don't even have this problem. Other than that...it looks okay, I guess? I was hoping for Braum but since he's pretty much a meta constant, it's not like he's completely out of the running to get a Victorious skin eventually. I think it might look better when we can see the effects and the splash. But the model could use work for sure.

Victorious Aatrox should be exactly the opposite of what Classic Aatrox is.

I thinkg they should add more of his Pre-Darkin Sunborn angeling style with owl-like wings that cast victorious sparking glows and glitters. To present that he won, that he finally got his ''real'' body back? In that sense of being so victorious about it.

Other than that, I like the concept of the skin, but they REALLY need to step it up if people want to consider it an actual Victorious skin.

I really like it but I am noticing that the overwhelming majority of people dislike it and I am not sure why. I think it looks quiet neat and the abilities seem sharp.

I don't understand the hate. The skin actually looks cool and uses the same base line as others victorious skins as it should be. Being similar to Justificar Aatrox is a dumb argument because they are actually very different aside from the colors. Also Aatrox being chosen isn't anything unexpected - he caused a big impact on pro play and that is proved by how many changes he got because of that.

So I normally never post my opinions on this game, even though I have been playing this game since Season 2. Never been more than a Gold player, I greatly enjoy playing ranked and participating in every season in some form. Im a pretty casual player.

I believe this victorious skin has caused and will continue to cause a community outrage until actions are taken to hopefully appease people. Every year, people complain about the selected victorious skin.. every year this happens but aside from a few disliking it, this year it’s obvious somebody dropped the ball on the victorious project because there was no teaser, no trailer and suddenly we find out in a small announcement to sweep it under the rug.

Here are the facts: The skin resembles Justicar too much, color scheme is not that far off, also the armor is too similar. Victorious skins are made to feel unique from the others. This doesn’t reflect that. The model is smaller than his base model in comparison.. no reason for that. VFX are good but the skin design needs to be reconsidered.

I think the Skin Team should rethink the design of victorious skins.. at a minimum this skin needs to be more different than Justicar. How?

My opinion: Add more Armor Add real wings, not misty wings. Remove cloths he is wearing, not every victorious champion needs to wear cloths and wreaths of gold to be a great design. It doesn’t matter if November 19 season ends, players will be satisfied if you continue to work to fix it even after the deadline.

Moving forward, I recommend in the future Riot takes victorious skins a little more seriously because obviously the community takes a lot of concern and anticipation into these rewards. The community should be involved in the decision making process and have a vote in these victorious skins regardless of what the numbers statistically looked like a champion had in the season. This is a community reward... Why not let them vote. I’ve seen past seasons how they have presented these rewards and over all it’s underwhelming this year. Many are frustrated, some are okay with it, but nobody seems impressed on this skin.

TL;DR: Please continue to work through to fix this skin Riot.

I don’t mind that it is Aatrox. It’s going to happen that the victorious skin will be for a champ you don’t play. I have played Aatrox but not as part of my stable of champs.

With that said, this skin needs a redesign. It doesn’t feel Aatrox and is to similar to judicator. It needs to be Distinctive and it isn’t. I have seen some comments with ideas that seem like they would address these concerns but since it’s so close to the end of the season I highly doubt Riot will change anything.

It really is too bad as I think there is a missed opportunity here to make something special. And at the end of the day, I can appreciate a well made skin for a champ I may not be invested in.

Just give him an heavy and pristine set of armor instead of some light and tight clothes and the skin would look really good. The only similitude with Justicar is the color palette... which becomes entirely different with chromas.

So yeah, I think he just suffers from the post-rework Kayle problem (who still exists...) that a character who is supposed to be clad in heavy vestments or strikingly aggressive appearances just ends up having an appearance who's waaaay too tame to relate to their original concept.

Aatrox is supposed to have striking edges or a bold appearance, give him armor if you want to give him a more subtle look, or else it'll look way too simple.

It could definitely use improvement but until I see it actually moving in game I won't judge it further. Blood Moon looked similarly awful when I first saw screenshots of it until SkinSpotlights covered it.

I feel like If they make him wear a fancy shiny golden armour, he would looked better. He looks like he's naked. Also I suggest putting a picture of the skin since I saw It on surrender@20 and I find It unnecessary to look elsewhere just to see the skin.

Definitely could be improved, but I'm not sure exactly what they could do with the time they have.

They've changed things in the past based on feedback, sure, but this skin requires work to the point where they'd likely have to delay it, and they can't do that due to scheduling issues and such. They could always tweak it post-release so then that's not an issue, though.

This really doesn't look like Justicar Aatrox, aside from the basic color palette.

JA has armor, VA has a morph suit.

JA has blue full wings, VA has little jets

The blue arm is reversed between the skins

This skin reminds me of Classic Kayle in her VGU way too much. They took what was previously a fully armored, monochrome design that was bright and golden, and then inserted this really dark spandex that really kind of muddied it and came across as odd. This skin does the same thing. They have beautiful white and gold armor on the shoulders, and definitely in the sword, but Aatrox himself is wearing this incredibly dark spandex suit that just detracts heavily from his look. He's supposed to be Victorious, opulent, and grandiose, so his outfit should be bold and bright white, with gold accents, and maybe even some of the purple if need be. I think they really need to swap the navy spandex out for white spandex, and increase the wing size to really give him the grandiose and awe-inspiring feel a victorious skin is supposed to convey.

garbage ugly skin justicar 2.0 and i liked the old aatrox more after rework and the hard hard nerf i didn't play him any more for me the problem in the skin and the champ i'm not main aatrox or top laner and i hate that champ and im sure there are a lot of people don't play aatrox why didn't make a skin for lovable champ ??

I like his wings and the effects look nice. The rest is horribly designed and it’s too similar to justicar. :/ really should be redesigned if they are dead set on giving it to aatrox (which is a whole other issue imo)

His animatations (except his first Q hitbox which is awful) aren't even that bad but the base skin is so...cheap. I have said this before, it reminds me something you would see from those old Power Rangers TV shows combined with Star Guardian and those two don't mix nicely

-more armor -darker color scheme. This gold white blue doesn't fit aatrox and now he has 2 of these skins. Just like morgana. Her vicorious skin is rly dark and looks very good.

I believe Riot has made an error in terms of the current design. Traditionally, Victorious skins have been a bit more armored, and many have argued (and I agree) that in its current state, it looks very similar to Justicar Aatrox. Right now it looks like he made a sword out of Galio, and let Jhin/Shaco dress him. Joking aside, I believe the colors/textures used, and how they're being used, are wrong, although I remain optimistic about this being able to be improved.

I would recommend maybe shifting his skin tone to a more natural hue, shift the model towards a more armored look like we've seen with other skins, but shift the color balance to the blue undertones, silver armor with gold accents, with some wiggle room in terms of other accenting colors (such as purple or something for cloth accents). Aatrox has always had kind of a warlord vibe, I think that can be played upon a bit more while maintaining champion clarity.

Pros: different Particles and q vfx which look way different. (but pls make his particles red with the red chroma)

Cons: his body has a jacket which is lorewise rly strange cuz you cant just copy graves and write: "Aatrox victorious: went to Louis Vittons and got his personal jacket and with it came the one in red! was in sale!" Jokes aside the Jacket is a no go, does not suit him at all. give him something a little more robust.

Reduce the gold colours. implement more shades between white silver and gold, so give him a colour scheme that is screaming less.

During the R animation, take away the violett and make him pure white as in the backport annimation, as the model is already in the game. this would make a great theme. Aatrox

I think justicar just looks better in general. The clothing doesn't suit him. I think the effects on his wings are cool but that shouldn't be his full wings they need a little more substance.
