The only Issue I see with Jayce's Lore
So after hearing everyone talking about Jayce's new lore and how it frames Viktor. I decided to go and read it myself. I thought it was a pretty well written story. In fact I personally don't think the way it frames Viktor is horrendous. You just have to keep in mind that everything is from Jayce's perspective, a person who has no interpersonal skills or ability to understand others.
The only real issue I have with Jayce's lore in general is that it cannot function without Viktor, but Viktor can and has without Jayce.
Viktor had his lore, along with his character and the communities idea of what Viktor was formed before Jayce stepped on the scene. When I read posts about people describing Viktor and what he is Jayce isn't mentioned. Except in the context of his lore changing Viktor. However, the same thing doesn't apply for Jayce. Especially the new lore.
Now I am not a writer or crafter of stories so take what I say with a pinch of salt.
I think Jayce would be better without Viktor in his lore.
This does not mean that I do not think they could not share stories together where they are diametrically opposed to Viktor. There is a lot of great stuff there. I am saying that I think it doesn't do either character justice to make them so closely tied to each other.
Anyways that just my two cents on the subject, thanks for reading!
P.S. And have a Merry Christmas with the best of luck on Finals!
