Godfist Leesin's voice!

I can understand updating base lee sin. His voice was old and needed some loving, but why on earth would you tamper with the beauty that was godfist lee sin? No one seems to be talking about it! No one seems to have realized it! It's the same lines, but, if you've played the skin enough, you can clearly hear the difference! The older version was absolutely gold! The effect on the voice was at the perfect level, the voice acting was amazing! Why on earth would you tamper with one of your best legendary skins??

Tell me someone else noticed this too!

Because his old voice actor is being accused of sexual harassment (by a lot of people.)

In addition to that, he's also been accused of homophobia and made a holocaust joke on a panel he was at. I don't agree with the "guilty until proven innocent" mentality some have, but that VA isn't someone Riot wants to associate with, especially given their recent incidents.

And? I really don't get why hiring someone in the past means you can't continue to use their procured services. Just because your plumber does stuff on the side you would not condone, does not mean you should throw out your perfectly good sink for a new shittier one!....

Bad analogies aside, you wouldn't remove a Michael Jackson song from a product after his whole debacle... so why now does this crap go on?

The whole "Guilty until proven innocent." comment kinda throws me for a loop.. so you'd hang a man just because a crowd accused him? So he's made shitty jokes and his homophobia doesn't change his talent as a voice actor. He has his shitty opinions and doesn't know when to shut up that shouldn't make him a social pariah on all accounts even on things that he worked on in the past.

What IFF he was guilty? How would that harm riot for hiring someone and not knowing he was a deviant? That wouldn't be on riot and if it was then my god does the internet need to focus on other things if they are willing persecute a company for hiring someone that later turns out to be rotten.

It's to protect Riot's rep if he is indeed proven guilty. VO work is considered a Freelance, so it's not like working for a job where they have to tell you they are letting go of you, ect. You just get replaced in all cases for any reason they feel. When something is done or said from a Voice Actor that goes against a companies policies or views, if the company feels they actually wanted something else, and so on.

It recently happened in another game where a voice actor was proven to be abusive to people around him, which had nothing to even do with the game recorded for but it still went against the companies views (that company being Nintendo, very big professional in the industry) and they replaced him without even a second thought.

You can't 'save' a reputation that has already been tarnished. It's like trying to through a cup of water on a burning house... it won't work. It's like blindly trying to protect yourself from something that shouldn't even happen. So what if a person is a bastard, that doesn't make you one too just because you hired him before the world found out he was a bastard!

Yes, but unfortunately that is how the Voice Over industry works. If there is something blatantly wrong with a person, be it they are a sexual offender, abusive to others, rude to their follow voice actors, ect the company will not hesitate to replace them for any reason. Even if the work is already done, they do not want to be associated with that person.

That's dumb as fuck. Though you're right. I hope they put it back up if he's proven innocent... I really liked his voice acting.

If he is innocent then it's a possibility they could put it back, but until then we have this new guy (who also voiced Zenyatta in Overwatch, which I think he did better in that then this)

It's not an issue of legality. Riot just doesn't want to be associated with someone who (potentially) sexually harassed others in addition to making homophobic statements.

Bad analogies aside, you wouldn't remove a Michael Jackson song from a product after his whole debacle... so why now does this crap go on?

The company in question might? Every company is different. Like I said above, Riot's own sexual harassment incidents automatically paints them in a worse light than most. They're being careful, that's all it is.

The whole "Guilty until proven innocent." comment kinda throws me for a loop.. so you'd hang a man just because a crowd accused him?

I don't know if you misread my comment or if yours is poorly worded; I said I don't agree with the "guilty until proven innocent" mentality.

That's just how it is, it's unfortunate, but people tend to see the worse in others without ever having credible evidence.

You're absolutely right, I did miss read. That was at the end of a long day, apologies.

Yeah, I think the whole situation is dumb--especially the guilty until proven innocent--made worse as the more things come to light, the weaker the sexual harassment claims appear to be. Once actual investigations began (AFTER companies fired him and asked him not to come to cons, of course), all the accusers clammed up and the ones that didn't seem pretty weak. It seems like Vic is just a huggy person and some interpreted that poorly, added to that some people don't agree with his views. He hasn't made any homophobic statements to my knowledge but he IS an openly religious person, so idk.

Accusations should not get all of a person's work erased, it should not lose them their jobs and future career prospects. They are not guilty just because people on the internet say they are. Its really awful to see talented people get their careers wrecked over nothing. I'm willing to admit I'm wrong if it turns out Vic actually did something, but so far, its nothing but hearsay.

He voiced Malzahar too though....

Yes, which they most likely are in the process of replacing as they don't do them all at once or always use the same voice actor to do it.

They're probably in the process of changing that as well, I doubt they'd leave one and take out the other.

they want to appease an internet mob as always.
