Camille's lore doesn't provide enough information to be realistic.
I don't mean that Camille's lore is irrational or unreasonable. Writers and designers have done a great job, which, however, is not perfect for players who loves the literariness of every game. It just didn't demonstrate her background perfectly.
First, it doesn't make sense that Camille stayed in her family instead of leaving with Hakim.
- In a power struggling family, she was unlikly to love her younger brother.
- Also, her brother relied on her ability and status to become the clan master. If she had left, her brother wouldn't be in danger, as no one would give a shit to her brother.
- Power struggling is obviously very dangerous. Since Stevan (her brother) Insisted to sit on the chair of the clan master, it's clear that he just desired for power and wealth. As we shouldn't make the story too childish, Camille, as a principal intelligencer of a big family, should've been cleverer to see her brother's nature long time ago.
Second, “carving away Camille's heart, he might cut too deeply and deprive her of her humanity as well.”. I have to admit, you let Hakim to cut Camille's hear off. This kind of design, that "insert a short love story and end right away" is pretty awesome. But,
- As we can imagine, this kind of design that you would only find in child literature, is actually desinged for children who play league. We can just consider it as a Hextech. So let's skip that.
- Okay, if human hextech augmentation would make people indifferent/unsympathetic/apathetic/nonchalant (picking from them is beyond my English level), it's reasonable that she didn't seek for Hakim.
- But she wouldn't stay in this family and even control all the affairs. Not only has no one in this family she had any chance to be attached to. She also wouldn't stay for power and wealth for she never enjoyed them things. It can't be explained why she wanted to become the clan master.
- "Her ristocratic attitude and sense of duty at an early age" could be a reason. But she has thrown away her heart years ago. Her love for Hakim was just things from couple years ago. Her sense of duty was literally many years ago. She must have thrown it away too. Besides, her sense of duty for her family was a illusory concept, for she has paid what she has got from her family.
- This one is not really a counter argurement, because there is no enough information. The story metioned she has a favorite grand-niece. It can't be sure what relationship they have. But as I could imagine, based on what this story looks like, this "favor" is like a leader/master's "think high of", like "she can get my job done way", "she's like me", "but I can get rid of her if she act in any excess of authority".
- Also, based on Camille's massive taunting quote, she sounds immature and bad-mannered. Bad manner to criminals is reasonable, if she is a comic hero, but notice that league of legends in the lores is a political platform, besides, not everyone is criminal. Immature language is incompatible with her characteristic of emotionless to some extend.
- If she still has a lot of emotion, it wouldn't be a problem that Hakim has already grown old. Even if Camille didn't like him after years, she could still give Hakim a better life. I don't know how to improve this story, since I don't know
At last, she cared a lot about the safety of Piltover, under the setting that she has thrown her away
- In her comic, she killed that baron Volkage(solo baron, nerf plz) for Volkage, as a mob boss from Zaun gutters, tried to invade the authority structure of Piltover. But she didn't do that for her "ristocratic attitude", because that buddy didn't really hurt her aristocratic authority. She got rid of Volkage because she thought that guy would damage Piltover by having the political right to speak. She worried too much about Piltover as a person with no herat. And also
- as a clan master who is a mob boss and arms dealer (not only weapons, but also human augmentation to a weapon) herself.
- Just to confirm, it's not Marvel's Iron Man right?
By the way, that a champion can taunt like that doesn't give players the right to do the same thing. If someone taunts anyone else like that, I will definitely report that guy. But it's also a truth that Riot never banned anyone, whom I reported, who taunted and even taunted massively during the game.
