The Darkin Are the Horseman of the Apocalypse and Other Darkin Observation

With our new Darkin friend and confirmation of Varus' Darkin roots I think we are establishing a clearer picture of what Darkin are.

Darkin are sentient eternal weapons who create parasitic relationships with those who wield them, one is the Blade Aatrox, the other is the Scythe Rhaast, and the last known one is the Bow that Varus uses. These three weapons are all weapons used by the horsemen of the apocalypse: War - The horseman with a blade and a well of blood, riding the red horse, War = Aatrox Aatrox (Duh) Death- The horseman with a scythe and harvester of souls, riding the ashen horse, Death = Rhaast (as Rhaast even states when talking to Aatrox, Death and War together) Conquest - The horseman with the Bow and Arrow and the crown, riding the white horse, Conquest = Varus Varus' Bow (Varus is corrupted during a moment of Noxian conquest of Ionia)

So now we are still missing Famine, who carries a Scale, and rides the black horse, Famine would likely be a mage of some sort with a powerful magical scale We may also have Pestilence though pestilence is usually a replacement for conquest in more modern depictions pestilence could still be a Darkin, it would be interesting to see it as a Darkin without a host as Pestilence has no weapon (occasionally seen with posion arrows but thats Varus) It could be a small glass orb with a swarm of pestilence surrounding it, it could be a support who can possess their ADC's body and cast spells directly from their host.

NOW JAXJax , people mention Jax seems to have some sort of Darkin connection, my thoughts on that is that perhaps Jax was a corrupted Darkin host but his sword (Real weapon) was separated from him and found a new host. Perhaps thats how aatrox empowers people like tryndamere, by letting the person wield him for a short while corrupting them slightly.

Jax is not Darkin. He is last of race of people that lived in Icathia

Some interesting ideas, well thought out and well explained!

I think that Varus might indeed be conquest / pestilence. He does have the ability to Blight with his arrows. So there's further connection drawn there to support your idea :)

EDIT: I'm not sure about the Jax part yet though... We have some hints to go off of but nothing concrete enough to develop full theories. I've talked about this a little bit with others in another thread about Jax and the Darkin. That thread basically convinced me that there's not enough evidence yet to reach any conclusions about Jax. Although the mysterious connection between Jax and Aatrox (splash art) is still profoundly interesting!

I'd say Varus is more pestilence(which sometimes replaces Conquest),as the corruption spreads like a disease and even to others.

After all Varus himself does not search conquest.

Also the first rider is depicted with a bow and a crown,so maybe the fifth darkin is a crown?

I think you may be right on them being the horsemen of the apocalypse, which is a pretty sweet prospect. My only issue is with pestilence. In the Bible, where the horsemen of the apocalypse originate, Death and Pestilence are the same horsemen. It just bothers me when people think that they aren't.
