Was watching Hellboy 2 and noticed some creatures wearing masks similar to Bard's.
Anyone else notice the likeness? Thought it was pretty neat.

Because Bard's mask is just a circle with 3 holes on it that has 120 degress separating each hole's position.
It's not like it is something very unique in the first place.
If you watch animated movies by Studio Ghibli, they have a lot of faces and masks that look very much like Bard's mask. The little tree spirits in Princess Mononoke, and that big black ghost thing in Spirited Away. Princess Mononoke herself wears a mask that is basically Bard's mask, in red, plus bunny ears. The look probably leads back to some Japanese myth or legend.
