Which do you prefer in a champion teaser: comic or video

In the last two years champions are usually teased in one of two ways either through comics or short videos. Now both of these methods are amazing ways to showcase a champion Short videos: predominantly show an aspect of the champions goals, skills, personality and some lore of the champion on a small level through various different video styles that may suit the theme that champion embodies Comics: don't give the same visual stimulation as short videos but they go more deeply into the lore of the champion and gives us a view in the champions mind and how the interact with the world. Essentially a visual short story as that is the purpose of the comics used Personally i can't decide one which I like cause while I love each unique video , comics give me more on the lore.

I feel like each of the two mediums gives a different kind of hype:

Whenever I watch a teaser like The River King, Seconds, The Star Forger Returns, The Wrath of Zaun and many more, it gets my excited, for how flashy and powerful this type of teaser is.

But whenever I read the comic types of teasers (namely: Severed Ties, the Ascent), I get more interested and intrigued and it usually helps me understand the champion a little better than I would with a cinematic/animated teaser- That's probably because it usually tells/intends to tell a story better than an action-pact cinematic.

It's a bit hard to describe, so I'm sorry for the poorly-worded explanations. :P

I'm honestly not sure what I prefer more. We haven't had many comic-type teasers, so I'm not sure if I even want to decide on one of the two.

While the videos are pleasing to watch, I like the character/world building that the comics give.

I personally prefer comics because they tend to give better background and worldbuilding than most video game cinematics do.

Though videos are definitely way more popular with the general public. (music videos in particular).

I honestly prefer both over the usual text based works. I enjoy having a visual to go along with the work I'm enjoying. I just get more enjoyment out of that. Not saying I won't read a wall of text. I'm fine with doing so if I have to. And when it comes to League lore, I pretty much have to. And I'll can still enjoy it depending on the content.

But if I have to pick, videos get my vote because the addition of audio adds to my enjoyment.

Comics are better because they are more in depth and let me understand what the champion is going to be like personality wise.

I like videos better because they way Riot does comics don't tell me much and are really hard to follow.

Though that's just me. I'm a simple person and prefer straightforward things.

I prefer videos mostly because of the voice actor teasing. More sensory involvement is usually better, and comics aren't necessarily the best option for that (since read pieces usually encourage the reader's imagination, but there will be a final "right" view in the end on release which can be disappointing).

Well, I remember distinctly that I thought Taliyah's story reveal was particularly dull, but then I don't like her character at all. Videos do tend to get the hype going easier.

I prefer comics in style that Camille had. It gave us a lot of insight on Camille and the world around her. Video teasers on the other hand are usually very vague with only glimpses of champions personality, look etc. but they tend to be more hype inducing; result of the low attention span of the community.

With the next patch coming in a few days this week may decide whether Galio come either during the last patch of this month or the next month So I'm keeping an eye out ( mostly through sharjo😜) for any teasers

Either, it really depends on the presentation. However, I will admit I do have a preference for videos.

Both have their benefits. If only we could get both. Imo, comics give an awesome insight to how champions go about themselves in their respective environment, however, short videos just provided that much more hype. We see the champion yet still don't know them, dragging on that hype all the way till the champ reveal page is up. I live for that feeling... strangely enough when I finally see the abilities I wish I had not, because I no longer have anything to hype about. LOl.
