Gangplank refunds?

Since he's gone, I feel like people who paid money for Gangplank should be compensated for his removal.

If Gangplank is not re-enabled within the next couple days, I will be demanding a full refund. It's only fair.

He will be back, either he cheated his own death and has to fight MF for control of the city, or his spooky skin will be his new default and his classic will be an extra.

They just did a rework on him so he will be enabled in a bit, calm down and enjoy the story. Either GP will be pirating as the underdog instead as the king, or will be the spectral curse of Bilgewater, an eternal thorn in MF's side that slowly drives her even more mad.

What city? Who cares about that crap? Nobody cares about the half-assed lore Riot is trying to cook up. First, they removed the gameplay from the lore, saying they wanted it separate. Now they interrupt my gameplay experience because of a stupid story? Nobody above Bronze is happy with this.

They just recently got their new Narrative lead on board and may be taking it in a different direction and bringing lore and gameplay a little closer. For the first time in years, the story has moved forwards, and I am interested to see where it goes.

Just because you don't like it doesn't mean everyone doesn't like it. If the story can affect gameplay again, maybe gameplay will be able to once again affect the story.

GP isn't removed from the game forever, just disabled for a few days.

Nilok, I agree that their new narrative is something new and I am also looking forward to it.

However, I don't like how it has been done by Riot.

Before I start, you said to Notsid that "because you don't like it doesn't mean everyone doesn't like it." I can say the same to you.

do not think everyone like it. I am a GP lover(regardless of win/loss) and when I saw the notification in game, I

was like "WTF". People used IP or RP to buy and play GP champ or skins. And then, Riot suddenly says that "the champ is dead,

you cannot play for a while." Do you think it can be justified, without prior notice? If it was bug-related, I would not get mad.

However, Riot insists that it is story-related. people paid some to play specific champ and they are forced not to play it not because of ingame issues but because of the story.

Well, people do not care because it's GP. I'm sure that a lot of people will be upset and get mad when their favorite champ is suspended.

GP is also one of my favorite champions. The reason I am okay with this and still excited is because something may change about GP after his short vacation and we may get something new.

However, I do understand your surprise and frustration. This is kind of a problem with online only games, and while I have faith enough that Riot wont do something so stupid as deleting a champions completely, EA has done just that with several of their games. It is a real problem, and an end of life plan for online only games is not something companies consider, permanently removing anyone's ability to play it ever again.

Is he disabled for "no reason", or did he slip into the Void in the story?

If it was the second one, I would be okay and excited since it would probably mean a new and awesome skin for him, along with a bunch of other things.

Actually Gangplank was disabled for a bug involving Draven, but they said the whole "GP is dead and has been disabled thing" I guess as a joke or something, seeing as they figured they'd disable him for the Act to connect to the story as they fix the bug.

I didn't see anyone complaining about Riven or Zed being disabled for a week or something.
