kayle inspired by?
Just curious if anyone knows if kayle was inspired by saint celestine a character from the warhammer 40k universe. The look and character traits are uncanny

I'm no expert when it comes to Warhammer 40k,but from what I've read the only similarities are that they are both angelic in appearance(though judging from what I've read, celestine wasn't born as an angel),work for a rather opressive imperium, wear golden armor and are blond.
Honestly, that doesn't really strike me as that similar. Depicting angels as a bit extreme isn't anything new and golden armor/hair for an angel is also rather fitting(flaming swords are also common for angels). Overall it is actually likely that kayles appearance was influenced by samus aran, because of the whole "women in full armor,so that you don't know if it is a women when you look at her"-thing(though the new splash makes kayle look more feminine)
Kayle and Morgana - an angel and a fallen angel leading an eternal war against each other - are more likely inspired by Milton's Paradise Lost. Specifically of the Archangel Michael (Kayle) and Lucifer (Morgana). Even down to the seeming ambiguity over which one of them is correct.
It's a story as old as Christianity. And probably before that.
