Frutz1 votesTear is an item not all champions want to go because it makes early to mid game weaker. Taking meditation is a trade off only mages need to take while Marksmen get Essence Reaver and still get good stats and mana sustain. And getting the water dragon is not a certainty, same with blue.
Hammerpriest1 votesOn the PBE currently, pretty much every mid mage with mana is buying tear like mages used to get chalice back in its heyday. You get it early to provide sustain while deferring your power towards mid game when you can 1st Item + Archangel's spike. Yes, it is definitely pigeonholing mage builds on the PBE atm, but it's also a great source of mana that provide some insane mana sustain in conjunction with the multiple neutral objectives your team needs to contest.
You're totally right about Meditation being forced though.

The funny part is Azirs soldiers are capped at 3 on urf. Where on live you can get a max of 4.

I'm actually a bard main, I just really like playing Azir. But yes, you can get three soldiers out; though it is very innefective as they barely last long enough to cast your other abilities. What I meant by the joke was that during urf, it always feels like Azir has an army of soldiers.

Did you not just see the screenshot I posted?? You can get 4 out on live without them instantly disappearing and can get off an auto or two. Whereas on URF they automatically disappear when you try to summon a 4th.

Kalarepa9 votesIt's all fun to pick cool champion and spam skills in URF, until cancer like Zed, Fizz or Wukong comes and kills you in 2 seconds, while you can't do anything to them. That's how 90% of my URFs look like. It's fun, until enemy cancer leaves his lane and starts ganking. Then you stop playing and just watch 40s grey screens.

but in the other hand, there is no ad in the enemy team, but your all your mages have zhonya's just for the active that they cant use because kat or lb has one shot them
