It's good to see that they preserved Zyra and Kumungu. I expected bigger changes, but they managed to keep most of the old lore intact. It's better than what they did to some other champions.

They didn't change too much for anyone, fleshed everyone out which is nice. I wish Zyra had gotten a story though, I'm curious to see how her personality would be in an actual narrative.

The Short Story is ok. It started out interesting; I wasn't a huge fan of Ysard, but I grew sympathy for her as the story went on. And I liked Ordylon. But as the story went on, I was like "these characters are all going to die, aren't they?" Its disappointing that we can never seem to hang onto non-Champion characters without killing them off. The last non-Champion character we had in a story (that I can remember) was Illaoi, and obviously that didn't last long. I guess MF's first mate is still alive. And Rengar's hunter teacher guy.

Neeko's story...it has the same problems as Zoe's story. This is supposed to be a light-hearted character, fun and cute, but an awful lot of people DIE in their color story. I liked the insight into how she communicates though, using color descriptions and whatnot. The death doesn't sit well with me though.

Holy shit, is Neeko's story supposed to be a homage to The Thing?

EDIT: Finally got a chance to sit down and read the rest of the stories and damn, Kumungu is terrifying. I love it! Eldritch horror stories where the very land itself is the monster are super fun.

I feel like Riot made the birth of Zyra more vague. Does she still take over the woman’s body? Happy they didn’t turn her into a complete villain yet.

I’m sure there are surprises in wait for the jungle, but so far it seems “normal” out of all the areas in Runeterra.
