The Main Character of YOUR LoL Movie?

Igglet··9 votes·3,754 views

If you would make a League of Legends movie, who would be the main character and what story would it follow? I'd personally put Shen Shen as the main character. The reason why is because it opens up a lot of possibilities to see other champions (his new lore takes him all around the world), he has cool allies like Akali Akali and Kennen Kennen, he has cool enemies, Zed Zed and Jhin Jhin. He is an interesting character and he is still powerful while not overpowered. Now, who would be the main character in your League of Legends movie, and why?

I actually want more story in Bandle City, so I would make Teemo the main character and have other champions like Tristana , Rumble , Ziggs , Heimerdinger and so on in it.

Maybe a story about another assault that led to lots of casualties by Bandle by Noxians or Bilgewater, to show how dangerous it is to be a yordle in these harsh times against humans. While at the same time showing what other far away yordles like Poppy and Kennen in their daily lives.

Igglet3 votes

Of all the ideas, I like this one the most. I feel like this story has a lot of possibilities too!

JayHog19922 votes

Heck, I bet most people don't even know the name of Bandle City's Mayor!

So much lore I could dig in from these guys, but Riot just focuses on everything else!

Nah, man, Veigar would be the main character and Teemo would be te main villian.

JayHog19921 votes

You got it backwards, Veigar is the one trying to destroy Bandle city, the peaceful land of yordles and Teemo is the one that saved the city from Veigar once.

I know what you were trying, but Teemo isn't evil. So it didn't go over my head, I caught it and threw it to the ground.

Spitemaster2 votes

... What? That goes against everything that I've ever been told. IIRC, Teemo is the purest manifestation of evil, ever.

Mordekaiser : Just like, what the fuck. when someone is born, you don't think about : "this guy is going to be some brutal warlord, kill a lot of people, be so dangerous then every army unite to get rid of him . His empire was huge and existed long before Noxus and Demacia. Now he is building his own in the shadow Isles while thinking about taking back his old bastion (in Noxus capital). let's say it'll take 3 movies for him. 1: The fellowship of the Skull 2: The two bastions 3: The return of huehuehue

Igglet2 votes

I feel like a movie about Morde would be really fun, but we wouldn't see any current day champs in it. Instead, I'd like a TV Series about his Empire more.

He may have crossed Aatrox / Kindred (maaaybe). Nowadays ,he doesn't interact a lot with current champions ( only with Hecarim Thresh Karthus & co) since he is trying build his strenght. He didn't make an appearance in the Harrowing , so he is plotting something else, maybe attacking Noxus. then he Would become a real threat afterward. (just imagine an undead dunking darius :D)

I want it to be about the Demacian/Noxian conflict, and it would follow Quinn

Just imagine, it starts with Quinn in Demacia, possibly in a market, then suddenly, out of a nearby window, a man cloaked in black and red jumps out and lands on a merchant's awning. He takes off, with Quinn persuing. He manages to get away, and we soon learn it was an important seantor that was assassinated. We also learn this man was a delegate between Demacia and Noxus.

At a meeting, JarvanIV is discussing if this is an act of war. Garen believes they should be hesitant, and should not seek out war, while Shyvana wants to go to battle. Quinn on the other hand believes that this is strange: It was broad daylight, and Noxians aren't ones to give a warning, plus why give away the colours of it's nation? JarvanIV doesn't want to take any risks.

Jarvan III decides that it's best to ask the Noxian king, and sends Quinn as the new delegate (for whatever reason. Roll with it.), as she treks, she continues the journal that she writes in, and this gives us some exposition about her life, maybe we get a quick flash back about her childhood when her brother dies.

She gets to Noxus, and is escorted by guards to Swain , who is outraged when Quinn tells him about the murdered Demacian, calling her a liar, and she is thrown into a Noxian prison, Valor caged away.

Two days later, in the middle of the night, when Quinn believes that she's as good as dead, the prison guard takes a dagger to the throat. Quinn looks up to see Talon unlocking the door to her cell, with Katarina standing guard. Quinn is hesitant to trust them, but goes along with them anyways. They get back her equipment and Valor, and get out of the city quickly, narrowly escaping Sion (or Urgot ), if you want. As they get farther away from the city, Quinn asks what the hell was going on.

Around a camp fire, Talon tells her how a Noxian senator was assassinated by a man in a blue and gold cloak, who got away too. Here's how I imagine the conversation playing out: Quinn : Why are you helping me? Talon: Somebody's playing us for fools. Quinn : What do you mean? Talon : You tell us a Demacian senator, who was assigned as the delegate for Noxus, was assassinated, about the same time our delegate was assassinated. Both were wearing the colours of their supposed nation. Quinn It is odd... but who would gain from a Noxian and Demacian war? Katarina That's we don't know, and want to find out.

They quickly put a list. Swain has nothing to gain, he's already in power. JarvanIV ? Impossible, he's already in line, why risk his neck. Gangplank is already fighting for bligewater Ionia? They're trying to rebuild. Freljord is already at war with each other. So who?

The trio found the assassins, they snuck back to Noxus, finding a hideout just outside the city, where the Demacian assassin, who showed a note from Jarvan 4 and a dagger given by only the Lightshields. The man also says in a panicked voice: 'They're going to kill the king'

The quickly run to Demacia, to show to the king. As they get there, Katarina disappears and Quinn enters the throne room with Talon in tow, yelling about the plot to kill the king, but knew not when.

She also presents the evidence about J4's part in it, and JarvanIV in placed into custody. When the king is about to thank the pair, an arrow was thrown at the king, but Valor quickly flew in the way, taking it in the wing. Quinn quickly takes down the assassin by shooting it in the leg with a crossbow bolt, and runs over to Valor, almost in tears, and happy to see her companion alive. Talon grabs the assassin, who was a Noxian noble who admitted to assassinating the delegate too, but not saying who ordered him. Quinn quickly takes the arrow out of Valor''s wing and wraps the wing in bandages.

As Quinn goes to rest in her small apartment, there's a knock at the door, with Talon panting on the steps.

Talon: 'Jarvan's gone, and this was left in his cell.' He says, holding out a black rose.

This isn't my best work, but this is how I imagine it. Plz no haterino <3 I whipped this up quickly.

Zenithir1 votes

I like this. I can appreciate the J4/LB theory put to life. But do you think LB would be so easily caught like that?

We don't know a ton about the Black Rose, but we do know that they've existed for centuries without being exposed or routed, iirc. It would seem odd that LB would so casually leave in the detail that leads them to the black rose.

Unless...

That was her plan all along. >.>

VulcanIsHere1 votes

I want to think that she left this rose as bait, to have them track her right into the middle of the black rose, throwing Quinn (with Talon and Katarina , if you'd like) into the middle of a Black Rose plot, possibly black mailing them or just straight up trying to kill them.

But that's just my thoughts

Mine would be Vi for sure. I'd love a movie about Piltover's Finest, the dynamic between her and Caitlyn is something I love, and the mystery about her past would be interesting to explore. Also, action movie explosions courtesy of Jinx

Bilgewater-Themed movie would be amazing. Rengar-Kha'Zix would be meh, it wouldn't feature that many characters which is a big con. I think both Noxus and Shadow Isles would be way too griddy for a LoL movie.

Pretty much another version of Pacific Rim. And the outside of the theater would look like this:

I would enjoy a film about how Viktor and his fall at the hands of Stanwick, his slow power accumulation in the shadows (and fighting Jayce) ending with him saving Zaun and Piltover from a Void invasion, maybe with a cliffhanger after-credits scene where Viktor is shown creating the first Battlecast minions. Perfect setup for the second movie where he fights the Full Metals and Pulsefire Ezreal. To finish off the trilogy, enough explosions to make Mr. Torgue applaud vivaciously.

Warlord Dienekes2 votes

Well, to me the central conflict of LoL is still the Demacian/Noxus conflict, despite that not really being the case in some years. So, I'd probably pick Garen, Kat, Jarvin, and Swain to show the war from both sides.

Though, if I really had my way, it'd be an anthology style movie with shorts dedicated to each of the major conflicts. Mind you, that'd be a long movie if it was going to try and show everything.

Igglet1 votes

Hm, Demacia v Noxus seems pretty generic, though it's the most likely one I can imagine.

Warlord Dienekes1 votes

Now, this is just my opinion on this sort of thing. The conflict itself can be generic and the story told can be amazing.

Take, for example: Star Wars, Lord of the Rings, Wheel of Time, Honor Harrington, even Game of Thrones and some Discworld in a lot of ways, have relatively well known and simple grand conflicts of why groups are fighting each other. But why they are so well loved is the characters within the conflict.

A war between the two most powerful nations in the world can be grand and shake the very roots of the world, characters can be tested in ways that they have never been, they can be twisted by what they've seen or rise above the slaughter. And there is already a rather large cast each with their own side and story in the conflict. From the ruthless genius that is Swain to the prince struggling to prove he's worthy in Jarvan. There's a lot there that can be crafted to make an amazing series of movies. And that's what I'm interested in. Taking the characters through the ringer as we learn to root for both sides in some ways while knowing their can only be one real victor.

And I think if you think about it, you'd see what I'm saying holds true for your own movie you'd like to see. Shen and Zed facing Jhin. Are you really interested in it because Shen is a super ninja of tranquility, or is it because you want to see him as a human deal with having to ally with his old enemy to take down a greater threat? Or deal with training his students that may not listen to everything he is trying to teach them, as they struggle both with and against their teacher.

Those are both story elements that have been done a million times, but when done well with interesting characters they can be great.

Fasmodey2 votes

Short Movie of Bilgewater Event would be so good.

Also I would like to see Fall of Shurima in a movie and battle after this among ascendeds.

Zenithir2 votes

Honestly I feel like we need to take a good look at some of the lesser known and explained characters in the league.

Amumu Fiddlesticks Rammus Maokai Shaco Veigar Zyra Malzahar Vayne

We've had these champions for a while and nearly all of them have had their lore retconned by proxy with the loss of the institute of war. Others simply aren't well fleshed out and their stories are in need of a tune up. A movie dealing with any one of these characters to provide insight into who they are and what they're like would be a godsend.

Purely for my own interests? One of my mains : Anivia or Jhin

It's unfortunate that Anivia's lore/personality are basically as frozen as her magic. She has conflict with lissandra and the return of the watchers, but the scope of her lore, or her perceived interests, never reaches beyond the freljord and gives her very, very limited ability to interact with anyone outside of it.

Jhin would probably make for a better movie, as his lore is a bit more recent and interactive. I'd like to simply follow him around from the observer's perspective to see how he works, simply because I find his personality fascinating. Watching the fantasy of his masterpiece unfold in Jyom pass would definitely be something to see. Shen and Zed are both once bitten, twice shy and it won't be easy.

Marbelara2 votes

I'd love to see something with the Ionian champions aside form Jhin 's performance plot: something more like a Game of Ideals(tm) with Syndra and Karma, starring the Kinkou and Shadow orders, Dojo clans, and perhaps Noxian emissaries as additional sides - with strong strategic and supernatural elements. (perhaps the supernatural could also be a side?)

And a Yasuo and Riven special episodes side story, like an OVA. Samurai Jack styled, with not a lot of dialogue, but a lot of expression and meaning, reaching the conclusion of their own dillema.

Ionian2 votes

The plot of the movie could be my name.

I'd say Jax and his adventures before he became a champion. This story will show how he trained and the enemies he'd encountered to fight. OR Ryze ,His lore is fairly amazing and i would like whats spells he learned, OR Azir ,To show what shurima was like back then withNasus ,Renekton and Xerath OR Leona ,To see what created this hatred withDiana and how she got to this point LASTLY Karthus , cause he did have quite some HISTORY with where he got the powers and we can get alot of info on other shadow isles champions, cause there are alot of them

Jax in Soldier of Fortune

Before he was the Grandmaster at Arms, he was a mercenary.

Or the Piltover Files, starring Jayce .

"I've recently accessed some case files in Viktor's old laboratory. Things have been pretty quiet, and I had spare time, so why not? I've had much to hate about him, but even I recognize his brilliant mind. Throughout the files, in particular number 147, he keeps mentioning EXODUS. I don't know what he means, but my gut tells me there is much more to it. That there is some kind of danger, some threat..."

HeIen KeIIer1 votes

Ekko simply because of his pre-release cinematic. I see him as a good kid who has some sort of a Cinderella story. Start out with vague memories of his parents and then the orphanage and the the streets with his friends. Maybe Piltover is attacked and he saves them, which leads him on to a bigger journey to save his friends and Piltover.

Just what I always had in mind.

Igglet1 votes

Pretty dope, though I don't think that movie would be for everyone.

HeIen KeIIer1 votes

Igglet1 votes

It's kinda dark and really doesn't cover LoL in a way most stories do.

Igglet1 votes

Too dark for Riot, I think.

crippler381 votes

Shaco for the same reasons I would want a joker movie, because the guy can have great depth and can get into some pretty amusing antics (dark comedy of course) and possibly show how he works and thinks and such

Jinx could/should be in it too, because reasons.

Igglet1 votes

I think that's too dark for a LoL movie.

crippler381 votes

oh yes because a world where there's literally war and murder everywhere, serial killers galore, literal embodiments of death, murder emperors, and teemo(!!!) isn't dark enough, face it LoL is almost (not quite) warhammer levels of grimdark murder if you think about it.

besides there's a lot of influence an invisible psycho can have across multiple city states, could fit in a lot of characters and finally flesh out shaco's story

Igglet1 votes

Mate, that can go unnoticed in LoL- one of the least story-driven games ever. On the other hand, they can't make the movie seem childish if the story itself is dark. And I doubt Riot would EVER make a LoL movie that isn't for kids.

Too dark? The whole league universe is dark.

Demacia, where everyone has to act a certain way if they don't want to be killed. If you act slightly against the law you are executed.

Noxus, where only the most powerful can succeed through murder and treachery

Freiljord, where the unforgiving winter is killing anyone who isn't strong enough to resist. Freiljord also has a back story of slavery and dark magic.

Targon, clans of warriors living on the highest mountain of runeterra while facing many dangers and keeping ancient secrets

The Shadow isles where a bitch Kalista forces you to suicide in order to make a pact with her so you can get revenge and a spider lady deceive people to get them eaten by a giant spider being

Bilgewater, where outlaws and pirates live in an almost anarchic city

Zaun, where human experiments and toxicity have forged some of the most dangerous and disgusting beings in the world.

The void, a dimension full of horrible monsters ready to eat you Chogath KogMaw RekSai or just kill you for their own pleasure Velkoz Khazix

Bandle city, full of Yordles who have to resist prejudice and stand together in order to not fall into insanity Veigar Lulu

Shurima, an empire raising from the deads in order to get its past glory back while fighting evil god like beings Xerath Renekton

And then there is all those mysterious beings that we don't even know everything about Kindred AurelionSol Bard

BUT, were it up to me, I think Karma would make an excellent protagonist. She's very compelling, to me. The movie would focus on the Noxian invasion, obviously.

The Black Rose could be antagonists Leblanc

Now that I think about it, I'd really just like a movie for each major region. Demacia story, Noxus story, etc. Ionia could probably even have two, between the ninjas and the uh, everyone else.
