Could we see a VGU update to Noc anytime soon?

Noc is in a rough place visually. If you look at his eye without skins you can see that they are still super triangular and can even see the edge lines sometimes. Also on his haunting Noc skin (the one where he looks like a ghost costume on Halloween) his ghost trail seems to lock and stay static at times and doesn't have a wave motion. These are just some quick observations and I would like to see any improvement at all as playing anything other than eternum is kind hard to look at.

I kinda doubt it.

Nocturne surely needs a VGU,but there are champs who have it waaay worse than him in terms of gameplay and visuals.

Overall I think Noc might get an update in 2019,but I don't think he'll get one in 2018(and in this year we'll likely not see any other VGUs after Eve,Swain will probably come out in 2018)

We had 4 vgu this year assuming we still going by this rate, it's possible we'll get Noc next year. Assuming swain at the start of the year follow by nunu(most likely) we might get nocturne sometime july next year.

Well from what the rioters said it looks like they'll go for 5 VGUs next year(they've mentioned wanting to do a 50/50-split).

However there are a lot of candidates on the VGU list. Pantheon Mordekaiser Nunu Kayle Morgana DrMundo Chogath Volibear Fiddlesticks Shaco Rammus Irelia and some more,are all on the update list.

Even if Nocturne is on the VGU list,it is unlikely that he'll be picked for next year,even if we get 5 VGUs(Swain+4 others) in it.

Is Nocturne in need of the full blown VGU or would he be a candidate for those handling Xin and Aatrox?

Last I saw he wasn't in the Tier 1 list of VGU

Tier 2 is only known to rioters asfaik this isn't the most recent it gives you an idea. The list is constantly changing

Cho got hold over work so he's probably not on Tier1 anymore. But I can't say it's all conjecture

That "hold over work" doesn't mean they are not in tier 1 anymore. Swain and Rammus got changes to hold over as well, still tier 1 for reworks though.
