Janna and Shen

So in the new lore Janna is a elemental of air, which in the traditional sense is a type of spirit, and Shen keeps the balance between the spirit realm and the real world. Is there a connection between the two?

As stated in her bio, Janna watched over the seas of Runeterra, mostly in the area near Piltover and Zaun, but being a guardian of the sea, she likely left an impression on Ionia, due to it being an island. Currently, she is more closely watching over Zaun specifically, but is it not possible that she could also keep watch of Ionia, too. Shen, on the other hand, lives only within Ionia, keeping balance between the realms. Being a spirit, and a powerful one at that with her own worshippers, Janna more likely than not has some sort of control/influence over the spirit realms. However, in her lore, the spirit realms are never stated or even referenced. This leads to yet another question; Is there a difference between an elemental and a spirit in the world of Runeterra?

Anyway, to answer my first question, probably. Shen has likely heard of her, while Janna is just unaware of him but, if she does have any connection to the spirit realms, she might have heard of him as well. This is just a theory, and I'm like 99% sure I'm wrong, but what if Sacred Sword Janna is just how Ionia perceives Janna.
