Vayne during their first encounter because she didn’t want to for whatever reason but because she couldn’t as vayne at that point wouldn’t succumb to any seductions Evelynn would dish out so she wouldn’t feel agony’s Embrace.

I’m not underestimating the power of runeterra demonic temptations, in fact I’d hazard a guess that had vayne been with her parents that night she to would have given in to Evelynns seduction and died with them however Vayne saw the demoness for what she was so her lure was useless

Which makes me wonder if Evelynn is not able to hurt anyone (even in self defense) so long as they resist her temptations. If true then that’s a useful fact for vayne when she eventually finds Evelynn

Demons need to fulfill a requirement before they can affect a being. Tahm's requirement is a spoken contract or bargain. A person has to give consent and merely reap what they sow, and it's Tahm's job to get them to sow the right things. I'm not sure when or where, but I read somewhere that Evelynn's requirement is physical touch. She usually goes about this through seduction, but it's very possible that she uses other means. We don't know how she killed the parents, but I am confident in this: In that moment, nothing Evelynn could've done would have been able to make Vayne go up and touch her.

Personally, I thought Evelynn was infact feeding off vayne's agony.

Thinking about it, does "agony" have to relate to "pain", or could it be in an emotional sense of agony?

Imagine all the internal pain vayne was feeling looking at her dead parents and the demon standing before them. Evelynn probably smiled and revealed herself in demon form because she felt agony and she didn't have to allure vayne for it (it just came naturally) and the constant horror of that smile vayne keeps remembering according to her lore, probably fuels that emotion of agony.

Evelynn needs to fulfill a requirement to inflict agony (pain) but emotional agony she probably can leech without targeting them.

Basically eve got what she desired without her ignitial requirement, and because vayne would likely never fall for evelynn's charm after knowing what she did and what she is, Evelynn is just abusing the emotional agony from an individual she can never allure and kill, making a true long lasting victum to feast on.

I think their is a possibility that Evelynn can kill people it's just that she needs to seduce them and be touched in order for her feed off of their agony, and since it is so easy for her to escape I don't think she has any intentions of killing a potential meal.

If she can't kill anyone without going through her process of seduction (even in self defense as you said) then I wonder how she intends to kill Vayne let alone feed off of her agony. Maybe Evelynn intends to use Vayne's own sadistic nature against her if that's the case.

All the demons in Runeterra have some kind of requirement to my understanding to meet whatever their end goal is. Normally just feeding off the living. Nocturne is a weird one because he seems to do whatever the fuck he wants as a demon but yeah, Evelynn and Tahm both have a requirement to get what they want.

Vayne at that moment would likely never fall to whatever the hell Evelynn's requirement was and instead just enjoyed the side effects of what she did, even to this day as we can understand from her in game quotes directed to Vayne. Basically Evelynn can't get her requirement from Vayne so she just enjoys feeding off her inner misery.

But that does bring up an interesting talk about how the hell demons really work in League. Hope we see some answers once Evelynn's lore comes out.

Doesn't she kill based on contracts? Her story not long ago hinted at this. The contract wasn't for Vayne, just her parents. Demons generally, while deceptive, keep to their word. It's just their words are usually twisted and confusing.

Yeah lore is just like they want her ingame. Shes useless if she can't get her charm off.
