Kog'Maw needs purple.

Every Void-related champion or thing has a smattering of purple on them in some way, shape or form... except Kog'Maw.

Chogath Cho'Gath has purple on his carapace. Khazix Kha'Zix has purple on his carapace and glowy purple on his scythes. Velkoz Vel'Koz is purple, glows purple, and his abilities are purple. RekSai Rek'Sai has purple on her carapace and some purple abilities. Kassadin Kassadin carries a purple Nether Blade, has purple abilities, and radiates purple tron lines. Malzahar Malzahar is clothed in purple, has purple abilities, and his Voidlings are purple. Nocturne Nocturne has a Void skin that gives him some slight purple coloration. Fizz Fizz has a Void skin that makes him and his abilities purple, as well as his shark (does the shark have a name?). Illaoi Illaoi has a Void skin that makes her and her abilities purple. item 3512 Zz'Rot Portal is purple and plops down a purple Void Gate, which unleashes purple Voidspawns. Baron Nashor is from the Void, is purple, and leaks purple corruption into the waters around him. Rift Herald has been corrupted by Void energy and is purple. ... ... KogMaw Kog'Maw is greyish in splash art, bluish in game, and has green abilities. What gives? Make him purple, make his acid purple, make the things he eats taste purple. Kog'Maw needs purple!

Kog'Maw is a living Void Portal (most likely) since he eats things much larger than his size and still isn't full. It is very likely that his species was created by another Voidborn species since there is almost NO reason for him to have a Void Portal inside of him as far as evolution goes. Anyways, he has purple, just on the inside since he is a gateway to the Void. This also brings up the question, however, of where the vomit comes from. The scraps that are rejected after being melted by the Void? Not sure.

Kog'maw passive makes him Purple. So I agree with you that he needs purple like every other voidspawn, but he already has it. ;)

He is just a larva and they usually look quite different from their adult form.

Random headcanon: The reason Kog explodes when he dies is because whatever unnatural forces are holding his internal Void Rift stable fail when he's injured to much, causing it to erupt in a blast of preternatural power whilst violently ejecting a bunch of the partly corrupted mass he has recently consumed.

So Kog eating things turns them purple.

But do they taste purple?

The world may never know.

I disagree with that.

I mean is there some dresscode in the void or why does everything need to be purple? Its not like every noxian is wearing red or every demacian is clad in gold or every zaunite is full of green,etc. So why should the void be so strictly color coded?Especially since the void isn't really an organization.

At this point the void is so much associated with purple,it wouldn't surprise me if newbies thought that Lulu or Morgana are related to the void just because they are purple.
