NEW CHAMPION>EVELYNN>NEW CHAMPION>SWAIN

And although you may not answer this so as to keep the surprise But here is my predictions for each based on the consistent patterns New champion vanguard= august/September Evelynn=September New champion= October/November Swain= January

it is all right, but we can expect the new champ in December, becasue in November we have the pre season and tha takes much balance stuff and adding a new champion in this time, would be quite too much work or we see the new champion ,because they started working at the same time like the team for the vanguard

There have been 24 patches in the last 2 years which means there are only 9 more patches Now assuming that riot remains consistent then remaining patches will be 7.16 and 7.17: 9,23 august 7.18 and 7,19: 6,20 September 7.20 and 7.21: 6,18 October 7,22; 7.23 and 7,24: 1 , 15, 29 November Now if they decide to add and extra patch it would come out on or around 13 December which I don't think they'll do cause they'll need time to work on and present swain vgu along with the big noxus event

7.16 balance stuff 7.17 still balance stuff, legendary skin? , no champion , becasue we got no teaser until yet 7.18 new champion, but will be disable at worlds ( liek Kindred 2 years ago) 7.19 ultimate skin???/xin zhao 7.20 Evelynn 7.21, balance stuff 7.22 pre season preparation 7.23 pre season 7.24 /8.1 balance 7.25/8.2 new champion 7.26/8.3 balance 7.26/8.4 winter break/small patch 8.5 Swain .......

specially the things after pre eason are unpredictable since yet, nothing big announced for that

its too early to say that there will be no champion in 7.17 because look at kayn. we thought that there would be no champs in 7.14 because there were no teasers yet on the pbe patch he was revealed except he was leak a day before his reveal. So lets wait til the pbe patch to assume.

But I think that this time the reas on that the champion will come out in 7.18 /maybe 7.19 when Riot doesn't want to risk much is.... that the Worlds are in 7.18. So when they release the champion in7.19 there is actually no problem, in 7.18 they would disable him and there is also no problem. But releasing it in 7.17 would allow that it is available for World's and the risk that he is unbalance like the GP Rework and Tham Kench. I think we get some lore changes and that Xayah and Rakan get released in the end of February that it takes some time to present it. also I think Riot regonzied about no teasers for Kayn and remember . It will come from Frejord, so a Lore Teaser isn't very rare

The qualifer are in 7.15, Riot Meddler confirmed that the Worlds tournament patch is 7.18

yeah sry that is totally my fault, I mixed up the month they did a break with a new champion and the release of them.

I thought we got Xayah and Rakan in Febuaray and the break was in April but the release was in April , you right bro :D

it is always 50/50 if a champion comes out in X patch or Y patch. I was right that Kayn came in 7.14 but now I am wrong xD

Not to mention that they couldn't do xin's update with Evelynns release And the could do what theY did for Kayn and Urgot by doing it patch to patch on the same month

Overall we'll usually get one patch in december and in general one champion in the preseason. So if Eve comes out in september,then it is likely that we'll get one champ in october and one champ in the preseason

Which would correlate with riot saying that they would release only 6 champions each year I've heard talks that eve will only come out after worlds Which ends on 4 November But I'm more inclined to believe the second new champion after Evelynn will be released instead because the Evelynn would exceed the 6 month duration needed to make a vgu and she's been stated to be more of a modernization like Warwick

With after World's the playtest means the World's patch. The World's patch is 7.18. So they don't want to add big changes and new gameplay based content during this time. The patch 7.18 get launched in the first week of September. So the date for a Evelynn reveal is this date or 2 weeks after and about the modernization : The team that Evelyn's Rework did Galio and he got released in March. So they have now in September 6 months that underlined that Evelyn will come in September. Also Reav3 confirmed (someone that knows the process and the system of their releases) that the list is: Urgot/ new Champion/evlynn/new champion/ pre season/ new champion/ Swains I with this Timeline we follow all rules of Riot: 6 new Champs in a year ( 3 Teams: 1 Champ takes 6 months... so 2 Champs per team ) 4 Vgus a year ( 2 Teams : 1 Champ takes 6 months ) Every month a big release ( all months a VGU or new Champ and in the filler months , because there are 2 Teams for VGUS and 3 Teams for Champs ( that are the months May and November.) there are pre season and mid season

they talk mostly about champs coming this year, but VGU are always a topic when a team finish the old champ and this takes 6 months so it happens that they revealed it for next year.

yep , reav3 said that we can expect Swain early next season/year and also a VGU takes time about 6 months so the Team Anna did: Ryze in July 2016 , WW in January 2017 , Urgot July 2017 and so Swain in January 2018

I saw Aatrox's gameplay update scheduled after the preseason. but I found no information about Swain for season8/2018. Do you have the source?

To explain this I try to explain the system behind big releases in League.

There are 3 big rules that explain it easy:

We get every month a big release
A champion takes 6 months
There are 6 new champs and 4 Vgus each year

Now there are 5 teams The VGU teams:

Team A
Team B

The new champ teams:

Team 1
Team 2
Team 3

There are also some "filler" months, because the Goal is: "" Champ VGU Champ VGU"" but Riot has only 2 Vgu teams and 3 champ teams. So we have every 6.month a break so that the half of a year is: ** Champ VGU Champ VGU Champ Filler **

-This is the timeline for this year: January: WW done by Team A Febuary: Nothing, because of the double release Xayah and Rakan in April March: Galio done by Team B April: Xayah and Rakan done by Team 1 and Team 2_ May: _ filler month ==> mid season June: _ Kayn: done by Team3_ July: Urgot: done by Team A August: _Ornn: done by Team 1 September; Evelynn: done by Team B October; new champ: done by Team 2 November: filler month: pre season December: new champ: done by Team 3 January: Swain done by Team A
