Some thoughts on the Demacia teaser images

-Morgana's whole thing is chains. We're not sure what her VGU will do to her design, but we do know that she's still all about binding. But we know they're not Morgana's chains specifically, because we saw a teaser image for her and Kayle's VGUs; there are silver rings in the image with Kayle's flaming sword. Not gold, and not diamond shaped. -This suggests to me that the chains are from whatever Morgana and Kayles' race (for lack of a better term) ends up being. Sylas has the same sort of chains, but we see them wrapped around whatever is falling from the sky in one of those images (I assume Kayle and Morgana, from the symbolism) -There's a woman in one of the images, wearing the same kind of chains Sylas wears. Those same chains are everywhere in the images. I THINK that the woman is Lux (outfit seems to fit) but the giant laser isn't coming from her. It's possible that Sylas stole her magic and is using it himself, but that wouldn't explain the Garen image. Which brings me to... -For a long time, one of the biggest sticking points about Garen's lore versus his mechanics is that he's supposedly heavily anti-magic but can also call down a giant sword of light from the heavens. We see him call this down in one of the images, while wrapped in the same golden chains as before. This suggests to me that Garen's going to be getting his ability to strike down villains with holy light from above here. -A recent Ask Riot mentioned celestial beings that used the World Runes to originally create Runeterra. Potentially, these beings are what Morgana and Kayle will end up being? Or perhaps a servant race to them to fit the angel theme? -We know from Goulding's twitter that the event will "potentially" involve most every Demacian champion. Which means it'd be a massive uproar throughout the land.

The Demacia event that's being teased is evidently going to have something to do with magic, and will probably tie into the Kayle/Morgana VGU. I'm not too clear on how, but if someone put a gun to my head and told me to make a prediction... I'd say that Kayle is going to start granting great power to those who are faithful to the Demacian ideals of law, comraderie and justice, which will cause a massive uproar in the anti-magic parts of Demacia. It's not a perfect idea, but it's... workable, I think. It could be made into something interesting.

The teasers were all for Sylas and Sylas singularly. The thing falling from the sky is Galio chained up while using his ult- just like the rest of the images.

• One is Lux chained while she watches her ult decimate a Demacian statue. • One is Jarvans ult having gone off while Sylas sits on the throne. • One is Garens ult being cast while he's chained, watching in horror. • Lastly, the Galio picture I mentioned earlier.

These were all just teasers for Sylas, though I hope they are foreshadowing the move of the lore. Demacia has been heavily speculated to be where the majority of the new lore will come and move from, and on Twitter one of the Rioters has mentioned that the Demacian champs will all have something to do with events forthcoming.

I'd like to see the theory you have about Morg and Kayle come to fruition as well! If they could be worked into ancient, celestial beings who helped forge Runeterra, that would be so, so cool.

At this point, the only race Kayle and Morgana have any similarities to are the Ascended and the Darkin, despite them not originating from Shurima or being Darkin themselves.... And I guess technically the Vastyans.

My theory is that Kayle and Morgana will somehow have the female Darkin, who is obsessed with justice, Valeeva split between them. We already have a Darkin from NoxusKayn, IoniaVarus, and the FreljordsAatrox, so it would only make sense that DemaciaKayleMorgana would have a Darkin as well.

If the leak is to be believed, then Kayle's entire kit will revolve around Ascending, just as Kayn does to achieve Shadow Assassin Kayn, only in a much more "holier than thou" kinda way. Even her promotional material says she will Ascend during the game. While Morgana, like the Darkin, is described as being bound. Valeeva, in the Twilight of the Gods story, is even described as being pale with purple glowing veins.

Then there is the whole Horsemen of the Apocalypse allegory, with a sword of war, a scythe of death, a bow of disease, and lastly the scales of justice. Now you could call me naive, but doesn't Kayle and Morgana fit perfectly with the allegory of the scales of justice?

We already know, from Sylas's and Lux's stories, that Demacia is perfectly comfortable using magic in service to Demacia, and we know from Lucian that Demacia has magical relics at their disposal. So Demacia keeping a Darkin, which is in a winged sword, which is the symbol of Demacia, makes more than enough sense. Kayle's armor is even carved into the Lightbringer temple, the religious order that runs Demacia.
