Hi, I'm so in to LoL's Univerum lore and I love reading new bio-updates and stories. Lastly I decided to read all stuff about Freljord and I can't realy understand things about True Ice and Iceborns mostly if the thing are focused on Lissandra. If I remember corectly she and her sisters are the very first Iceborns after Lissandra contact with Watchers throught dreams. So did they realy came on surface or just send thier "voidling"? And another thing is the "Watchers" are true Void being and in the mean of Void is to consume the things beyound the voidrifts why they granted freljordians powers? The Void is corrupting, so why the corrupting and "consuming" living mattery beings created and some how geneticly changed humans and thier ice? I don't get it? Why they just can't consumed the Freljiord and run for others lands? And where are the Three Sisters' parents? Did they don't supported they plans or just died when thier offsprings tried conquer the Northen Lands? I rly would like to know thier parents story or at least get something in minor future stories.

Another thing that I don't understand is a fact that True Ice in the "Chamber with rune covered pilars" starts melting? The only logical thing is the Watchers who created True Ice and only they can not "melt" but destroy True Ice but The Watchers are "hibernated" so they de facto can't do that. And another thing is: Why Lissandra herself can't watch over those pilars? She at least should sense the "melting" cus she created this frozen prison below the Bridge. Another thing is: Avarosa and Serylda were Iceborn and Lissandra killed 'em durning battle with "Watchers" (or ratcher thier spawns) the sisters should be hibernated too but not dead (Lissandra used her not corrupted form of True Ice) And why the Watchers if they rly came out on surface why they couldn't brainwashed humans or just mindcontrol them? Sry for my english but I think the story of Freljord and the Watchers should be somehow rewrite or Riot may just continue to giving us the facing fait accompli of the lore.

PS: I almost forgot, Lissandra want great power and to be ethernal or at least ageless, she achieve both so why she's continuing tho bring Watchers to the Runeterra? If she wants more power she can shapeshift herself and go to Shurima and Ascend by the Sundisc or go to Ionia and learn Wild Magic or use blood of vastayans.

I think true ice is not created by the void

  1. The Watchers talked to Lissandra through their minds/dreams. Telepathically kind of.
  2. Yes the Watchers came into the freljord through a portal that probably closed now. They are in a hole because True Ice is preventing them from coming out of the hole (Howling Abyss)
  3. We do not know who their parents were. I was also interested in hearing about that but no information. We can assume their mother was an Iceborn and a witch.
  4. True Ice occurs naturally in Freljord. It is similar to diamonds. You can find diamons on earth but only in special places and they are rare. True Ice can be related to Anivia but we do not know yet because she needs a lore update. 5.The Watchers are primarily corrupting it and that makes the ice melt. Ornn can melt True Ice within seconds. It is meltable but in very rare cases only.
  5. The Watchers also play with Lissandras mind along with corrupting True Ice.
  6. Mind controlling is not something the Watchers do. They can just enter your mind. At least that is what we know as of now.

Lissandra saw the Watchers in her dreams and they promised her power (Iceborn power) in exchange for helping the Watchers get into Runeterra. Though they couldn't cross themselves, the Watchers could manipulate the material realm to craft Voidborn, whose mission is to gather information on Runeterra, usually by consumption of some sort. I'm not sure the Three Sisters' parents are ever mentioned. The origins of true ice are never explicitly stated but it's probably a special and somewhat rare type of ice that makes great weapons because of its hardness and resistance to melting, only wieldable by Iceborn because of their strength and special resistance to cold. Maybe it's related to Anivia, or it might come from the pure, elemental magics that make up Runeterra, idk.

The Watchers melting true ice just means that it isn't literally unmeltable, it just takes a lot more time and power than any mortal could muster. The Frozen Watchers have nothing else to do for thousands of years except try to melt the ice, and it even takes them lifetimes.

Lissandra's probably busy managing her pretty complex political schemes and daily life, but she did know it was melting, which is why she sends Iceborn to periodically check on it. Given what happened in The Eye in the Abyss, the Watchers need proximity to take control of people, so they can't just mind control nations from their frozen tomb.

That's all I got, and some of it's speculation.

Wow guys thx a lot. I went to Howling Abyss trivia and found this quote "We were human once, then the Watchers came. They changed us, forged us into weapons, made us Iceborn." So that's mean there weren't any Iceborn before the Three Sisters and came of Watchers.
