Where is Icathia?

In Ryze's lore, it states that Icathia was in the South-West of Valoran. But does that mean outside of Valoran, going in south-west direction? Or does it mean inside of Valoran? Also, everybody who is into lore a bit knows that Icathia is not actually on Valoran. Would that mean there was a connection between Valoran and the southern continent before the cataclysm? Hoping for a Rioter to answer because it caused hot discussion on Necrit's discord.

P.S.: In Brazilian Portuguese Universe it even states south-east instead of south-west. Pls fix that Rito.
