I’m so sad I could almost cry for Ledros. Work faster Yorick! You have allies even among your enemies! I’m desperately hopping one day we can see the release of the innocent souls, even if monsters like Hecarim and Thresh remain bound.
...I get way to invested in fictional characters. Imagining a real person dealing with this kinda stuff bothers me, I just want to help but can’t. Then I see a story that inpspires that same feeling except a worse fate and it’s aweful! Which means it’s a great story, but... you get the point.
Zyras story is similar, but at least it’s not eternal torment for the lovers. They get to die, to move on to whatever is after for those of Runeterra. It’s still an aweful fate to die like that, but the shadow isles are a fate worse than that!
Darius’s story also has themes of death, though not tied to romance this time. Kinda what I expected from him though. He’s Noxian, and it was war. Tough and horrid, but also understandable on how they make those decisions. Think there was a third option, the Demacian one where you get a person to safety then return to fight, but again, their Noxians. Their tactic to war is probably just as effective from a strategy point of view, and situationally would keep more people alive. Death is tragic, but in war you shouldn’t be surprised by it. Grieve, recover, burry it so hopefully you won’t have to burry another person. It’s cold and cruel, but it’s the cost. Still a better fate than the shadow isles...
