She can see the stain on the souls of people who have been betrayed as well as betrayers. Kalista also doesn't pursue individuals unless a pact has been made. lol

Don't understand why someone downvoted op. He had a question. :/

The whole tf thing is based on a lore change. Originally the story was pretty cut and dry, tf was a traitor. So her original speech was based on the assumption. His original lore stated that he gave graves up so he could infuse himself with magic.

Kalista's perception of traitors only goes as far as the perception of others does. Graves - up until the events of the Burning Tides - thought Twisted Fate betrayed him, and so because of Graves' resent towards his former partner, Kalista counted Twisted Fate as a traitor. Now that Twisted Fate and Graves made amends, it's very likely that Kalista has dropped pursuit of the Master of Cards. Although, there are still others who her gaze falls on.

Personally I'm of the opinion that the whole business with the "Mark of the Betrayer" appearing on the profiles of certain Champions was completely non-canon.

Even if Kalista had the ability to perceive the guilt of others, why would she be aware of Cassiopeia, Twisted Fate or any of the others who were marked during the run-up to her release? Why should she take any interest whatsoever in an individual until they either contact her or are marked as her target?

In TF's lore at the time of Kalista's release, he really had betrayed Graves.

I guess that Twisted fate still counts as a traitor for kalista.

he still ran away leaving his friend behind, causing said friend to get imprisoned. Even if he had his reasons, that doesn't change the fact that he left graves hanging.

And I suppose that thats what counts for kalista. For her TF remains a betrayer and graves remains a victim, even if graves forgave tfs actions.
