The order of next years Tier 1 VGUs?

Pantheon is diver, that makes it problematic to come after Irelia. They never did two of the same class back to back.

My money is on Nunu or Mordekaiser after Irelia. I would like to see Morgana and Kayle sometime soon however. They did say they would do them simultaneously and it would be kinda cool to see an in-game event similar to the VS event they did with yasuo and riven.

Plus, Morg's is actually going to be a fairly small update (mainly visual and then tweaks to her existing kit), the real gameplay work is going to be focused on Kayle (since she needs the overhaul).

Did they say that morg would get only small gameplay changes? The reason I ask is there was a post on the boards recently inquiring about the viability of Morgana and Zyra in the mid lane. A Rioter responded to the thread stating that they had no immediate plans on trying to get Morgana back in the mid lane due to her current kit being problematic and uninteractive. She just sits mid and presses W on the minion wave. So at the very least that is something that will have to change come her VGU if they intend to make her viable mid lane again. What direction they take her could determine how much work she needs, but when they invest the time into a full VGU it usually means that their gameplay will see significant changes, at least to 2-3 of her abilities. If I were to guess I would say her W and passive will most likely be the first to go. How much they change each ability (whether a brand new ability all together, or changing it to something similar yet healthier) I’m not sure as she would probably still need some sort of waveclear to function midlane.

I remember reading that she was actually in a pretty good place kit wise. They were only looking to do work on her passive and w, so yeah that's about it. Still fairly small compared to the work they will do on Kayle since she is all over the place.

considering 9 and 10 was the total count of VGUs+NewChamp in the last two years( and it looks like it’ll be 9 this year) And unless the count is 8 next year( based on reavs 50/50 ratio) 5 is a good assumption on the number of VGUs for next year

When I say 60/40 or 50/50 I'm not saying 6 new champs a year and 4 VGUs a year as we don't really try to get a certain amount of champions done a year. When I give those ratios I'm referring to the amount of resources dedicated to new champs vs VGUs.

So he's not really saying that they are going to be aiming it at 6 new champs/4 vgus or 5 new champs/5 vgus, it is just an idea of where their teams are trying to be but that doesn't mean we will know which side it is.

It could change at one point and their teams could focus more on new champs over the VGUs.

Though he also said when that was posted that their current set up had them at a 50/50 on 5 new champs and 5 new VGUs. So it's what they want to have going but they might not always have that is what can be gotten from what he said.

other 3? Sorry what? There's plenty of others that are in the Tier 1 list than just them... and now having two more out of that list gives them the chance to bump up some of the tier 2s into tier 1

I think these reworks might be coming faster than you expect. Look at the gap between Evelynn and Urgot. That's small as heck. They've already stated they would be coming out quicker now due to more resources being dedicated to them, so I wouldn't be surprised if the next 3 VGUs after Irelia come out by August next year.
