The sad irony of Demacia and Noxus is that...........

The core values by which they define themselves have become twisted in their efforts to uphold them and shall lead to both their downfalls

Unity against its enemy's, unity through their hardships and united under peace and prosperity. Unity but only from within itself. Any outside of its views cannot be part of its unity as this would coincide with Demacias founding emotion: Fear. Despite the obstacles and challenges it has faced and beaten, Demacia never truly overcame its fear of the unknown but instead have put a wall or 'shield' around it. Sure there have been good reasons along the centuries to put up its 'shield' to protect itself but then the shield never comes down so they also block the bad AND the GOOD that is out in the world. They have never faced the fear thus it has festered until Fear turns to Hate and Hate has turned to destruction as they see any aspects outside their own as a threat which must be 'removed'. One day there will come a time when Demacia will face a threat its shield cannot stop and unless it truly learns unity then they will be facing the threat 'alone'

In a way it is better at unity then demacia as it values all forms of strength for the betterment of Noxus but the great difference is that this strength in itself is selfish not selfless. Anyone regardless of birth, gender , or background can achieve greatness so long as they have the strength to take it, which sounds almost democratic as any have a chance at the top but it has created a cutthroat environment whereby in order to reach the top, you must bring others down. Noxus is rooted in war and conquest of cities, nations and regions to better 'strengthen' Noxus and become part of its Great Dream. However inoder for conquered nations not to see themselves as separate from the noxian machine, Noxus continuously needs to expand and conquer to give the states a common enemy to fight and unite against. But the moment there is no longer an enemy to fight and conquer, there is suddenly no one to fight but each other. One day there will be no top for Noxus to climb, which leaves only the bottom which will make it a free for all until there is nothing of Noxus left

Riot has done a very good job with their portrayals of Noxus and Demacia by no longer making them completely black and white in nature but shades of grey in each side and show that there is no perfect ideology no matter the strengths and successes
