What ties Mordekaiser and the Raven Demon?

Upon respawing, Swain says > I have already walked the halls of death, in the immortal bastion.

And I presume that he walked the halls of death to find the Raven Demon, inside the Immortal Bastion. But the Immortal Bastion was built by Mordekaiser and his bones are there. So, at this point, I wonder if the Raven Demon and Mordekaiser are tied somehow. Unfortunately Mordekaiser's lore is pretty puny and there is no mention of the Raven Demon.

Is there something I'm missing? What do you think?

Maybe one day they'll expand upon it when Morde gets his VGU

That's an interesting possibility but I think that the Raven Demon appeared later in the history of Noxus.

Why? The Black Rose. According to what we know from the stories of Swain and Elise they collect magic items from all around Runeterra and store them there.

I thought Swain found the Raven Demon in Ionia.

Edit: Ah, I was mistaken and remembered it wrong. I'm not sure. The Immortal Bastion seems like a vault of lurking evils, so I wouldn't be surprised if all manner of bad resides within it.

Most likely, however don't forget that Noxus is literally built around the Immortal Bastion.

(Also: In the "Did You Know" tips when loading in is where I found this information. Also, Mordekaiser is apparently planning an assault on Noxus to reclaim the Bastion once again.)

Given Mordekaiser's transformation into a Lich, I wouldn't be surprised if he had a helpful demon whispering in his ear. I think this is a very solid theory that could hold some water.

Noxus right now was build from the Immortal Bastion. Once Morde had his bones seperated and he "died" his castle was ransacked, his followers scattered and the city he build was eventually taken over to eventually become Noxus.

Swain could just be speaking literally, that he's walked through Mordekaisers halls, the halls of a revenant aka the halls of death.
