Personally I like my lore confined characters as exactly that, I like how certain figures can have an impact without any in-game significance. Which is why I was never obsessed with the idea that the Ruined King could become a playable champ some day.

Does the Seal Sister need to become yet another god like champion for the game? Or does Saito Takeda have to be playable just so we can have a Chem-Baron running around the Rift?

I think it would be more likely for Tamara, the battlemason who appeared when they were taking the city with the hole to be a champion. We've already had her show up once before in the Progress Day story, so it would be like Illaoi showing up in the Harrowing story before her release. Plus, you would knock out several birds: Noxian support and confirmed lesbian/bi-sexual.

Grasping at straws don't you think? Again there were plenty from the community with your same logic thinking, oh the Ruined King was right around the corner. That the whole Shadow Isles update was foreshadowing (pun intended) his arrival into the game. Well it's been 2-3 years since then, does anyone still think Riot have a Ruined King champ up their sleeves?

Plus the difference with the Illaoi example is that she was already confirmed to be the new champ either before or just after the Burning Tides lore was released. As well as that she was likely finished in her development stages, ready to go live within the month too. There's yet to be any evidence Tamara is currently in development, or even could be in the near future.

Well. in the Ruined King's case all of the Shadow Isles history is based upon his actions. You cann't tell a thing about Shadow Isles past without mentioning Ruined King. He's significant lore character.

While Tamara is not so significant, but keeps getting mentioned

Im sorry, you haven't quite made your point clear to me.

The Ruined King is very significant to the history of the Shadow Isles yes. But you've only pointed that out to me, of which im already very aware of. So i don't get it... are you agreeing with my statement or are you trying to argue the Ruined King will become a champion?

I was disagreeing with your point "Ruined King isn't a champion that's mean that Tamara will not be champion".

You see.. Well, when we are telling a story about SHadow Isles it's almost impossible to not mention Ruined King. Cause he's the one who stated all that Shadow sh-t. It's like.. Let me make an anology: Let's say League is about 1940-1945. Mentioning Ruined King is like mentioning Hitler in this setup: he can easily not be a playable character in the game, but his the one who started all this, so it's very hard to tell story of some generals or somewhat like that without mentioning Hitler.

And Tamara case - it's like mentioning some german Soldier named Hans in other soldiers stories. You just stumble into him. And that's becoming the base of thought that well.. we could stumble upon him for a reason - that he will be playable champion one day. That's Tamara case.

That & the fact that there's not really anything that would make her an interesting champ as far as gameplay is concerned.

What sort of unique gameplay fantasy or mechanic can she add to the game? Based on the comic alone, nothing really. She'll just probably be similar to champs we already have. Maybe if Riot does something interesting with Invetia, then it could be possible.

It's cool that people like her character, but there's more than character that makes a full champion.
