Is it just me or is does she look like she isn't corrupted in any way? I mean Malzahar and Kassadin have been almost completely stripped of their humanity, she just looks like a normal human wearing void armor of some kind. Also having a voidborn name while (at least from what it looks like) actually just being a corrupted human is also weird.

That aside, her appearance can be justified in lore. From the leaks, it suggests that her void design elements is a “living armor” that she has developed a symbiotic relationship with in order to survive; it’s not her actual body.

As to how she retained her humanity? We can go with the good old “Child can do what the parent could not” trope. It’s a common story element that children prove to have superior capabilities when compared to their parent/s, whether it be intelligence, physically, or (likely in this case) sheer willpower.

I think that's because both of them lived all their lifes in Runaterra and they were corrupted then.

But she seems too have lived most of her life in the Void, and she maybe even forgot her original name.

That’s the thing... If we’re still following naming from the older lore for the Voidborn, her name makes sense.

The Voidborn names are Shuriman in nature. The Shurimans name them because they’re often the first people to witness their presence. It would be natural for a Shuriman girl to have a Shuriman name, no?

I don’t know if it still applies though.

Yes, I do understand that they come from shurima, and some can even come from Icathian, if they actually had a different language from ancient shuriman, my question remains though

Why Kai'sa instead of Kaisa? Why Malzahar instead of Malza'har? Why Kassadin instead of Kassa'din?

The second word after the apostrophe is used to determine the species in void borns if i remember right, so Rek'Sai from the Xer'sai

Does that mean the new champion isn't a human tainted by the void but a voidborn that resembles a human?

They got upgraded lore not long ago, couldn't they also add an apostrophe to their name if that was an intended Icathian name? I mean they made 2 comics and a video to make Varus a darkin and add 2 more people inside him

I say Icathian because if every Shuriman had apostrophe, there would be things like

A'zir Xer'ath Tali'yah Na'sus Renek'ton

Thing is that probably that champion is called Kaisa, ot its indeed a voidborn posing as a human, similar to Shio from God Eater

The link to the post is to show that Kassadin's upgrade is fairly new, more or less around when new Varus came to exist. I could really use some exact dates about when these stories were upgraded in the pbe, and now universe. Right now they are just a pharagraph, until their times comes and they get fully revealed, like it happened with Varus.

Well looking at the Garena reveal page, she's more of a hybrid, like Venom, so she probably adopted the name.

Yeah, I just saw the video of her alleged model. The things on her shoulders look less like wings there and more similar to Vel'Koz bones.
