Possible Idea for upcoming champs and the lore!

When I first heard of League of Legends I asked "What is it?". I've been playing for 3 1/2 years now and I still don't know what it is. Yeah obviously its a MOBA, but why do I have the characters. Why do they do what they do? How do they relate to one another? Whats the point of fighting?

Riot does a fantastic job of producing champions that are unique and incredibly awesome to play yet, if you played League long enough, aren't hard to switch between and learn within 3-5 games. My point is I have no connection with my most favorite character. RENGAR!!! I don't know his story in depth all have is a 3-4 paragraph portion of his lore......Wow cool....(sarcasm). Theres no lore theres nothing I know about this champion that makes me feel connected to him.

Heres my idea for you riot.

Have a group of fiction writers get together and write Short Stories or Books and offer them in your store for like 20 bucks. If you buy the book/biography of the champion you get the champion and his 2 starting skins. Then once this team of writers gets all the champions mapped out and bio's complete start connecting the the entire universe by intertwining the champions 2nd or third books. Yes I know Im asking a lot but I look at Marvel comics and DC for their incredible universes and how intertwined they are. Plus marketing-wise I have nothing other than some stories of good and bad games to take with me to work/school.

How awesome would it be for me to be able to whip out a book about rengar and just start reading about my favorite jungle. Not to mention anyone asking "hey what book is that?". Think about all the opportunities for me to share league of legends in a new way and the outreach a complex storyline can provide for this game. I don't know it might be dumb let me know what you guys think.

P.S. Im a horrible writers so excuse all of my faults in the English Language. lol

Riot should at least consider this idea. The lore is cool and all but I'm sure there are plenty of people who would love short stories about the world outside of the League of Legends.

I completely agree with this sentiment. I feel this is an untapped market that Riot could easily capitalize on.

This will make them chug out more lore, unfortunately it wont be free lore for all people and it wont be accessible to everyone. I kinda support this only because of the first mentioned fact.

Geeze.. Sounds like alot of work. I took Riot six months to write a paragraph for Amumus lore - Now you want them to write books??

I was just thinking about this. I would definitely get my nitty gritty fingers in the property and write some champion stories, on top of my own writing projects (shooting myself with productivity here). We should talk more.
